Has anyone pulled off the sway bar on the 450 ho sportsmen i.New to the from i ride 2018 sportsmen an love it

I just rebuilt the top end on it, and a month ago had built up the bottom end. Ran great, till the cylinder gasket failed...rebuilt it again, and now theres a tapping sound coming from the top of the engine. Don't think its valves or chain, its pretty loud. Any thoughts?

Got a 1999 sportsman 400 and trying to remove the recoil. How do I get that 1 bolt by the brake pedal, I can’t get the pedal down enough to go threw the hole on the frame.

My ATV friends have wanted to take me up on the Red Cone - Webster Pass trail for a long time. This trail is rated "difficult" in sections. It is not great for those who fear heights, but I don't fear them particularly, just respect them.

The ride to the tree line was difficult in terms of the big boulders and washouts. My biggest trail riding challenge is learning how to ride up the side of a boulder with one side of the machine only to find a hole in the trail on the other side of the machine. My ATV gets pretty tippy in these situations.

We climbed a "alpine tundra" trail above the tree line up to the top of Red Cone. It was a steep climb. We took a couple of the obligatory photos. The winds were 40 to 50 mph up there. Jet stream. Then we road the steepest descent I've ever been on. I estimate it at 45 degrees or so. It was about a quarter of a mile long. The engine brake on my Can Am worked perfectly checking my speed without me using the brakes at all. This was also the case for my friends Arctic Cats. You must pay attention as the sides of the trail are pretty steep. It is easy to slide the wheels on the loose gravel. I made it down okay.

Then we rode the "ridge trail" across the top of Red Cone. Again, pay attention as wondering off the trail would be a disaster on one side. This trail also had some pretty big boulders to navigate on the downhill side. I knew it was tough when my friend slowed to 1 mph to get over them and not end up on his nose. I followed his tracks as he has 25 years of experience in the mountains. This was the most difficult part of the trail for me.

Finally, we rode back down to the valley on the "shelf trail", steep drop off on one side, steep incline on the other. Down, down we went and back into the trees and out of the winds. Better.

Overall it was a spectacular day for this newbie. I earned the Red Cone Merit Badge. This experience helped my experience in trail riding in the Rockies.

I have a 2009 Polaris Outlaw 450 that I have now had a few years. A couple summers ago I was going about 60mph down a highway and it suddenly died. It didn't lock up or anything, it died as if it was out of fuel, yet that wasn't the case and it wouldn't start. After getting home I got it to start and then from that day on it had an awful rattle/clatter/almost knock sound to it. I then was scared to ride it and it either lock up going that fast or just make the issue even worst. So its sat in shop for the past couple years, until today. I decided to hell with it and got it running and then ripped around in the yard and the noise got much worse (I knew it was a bad idea). So I did some research and found out about the loose crankshaft bolt on these KTM motors and how their generally clatterly motors. So I went ahead and pulled both sides of the crank covers off after draining the oil, which pulled a huge amount of ground metal for such a little motor. I have quite a collection of metal on the flywheel and whatever that stator looking thing does. (not a fourwheeler mechanic) I believe its the stator and armature to the starter but what do I know. Anyways I believe my metal and noise is coming from somewhere around the timing chain area or the crank. I would guess I've got a bearing out, but I thought I would try you guys before tearing it apart farther without knowing the tricks of the trade. Again any help would be much appreciated. I also am going to try to attach a video of the motor running before I took it all apart. Nevermind, it wont let me post the video.

Just " re-aquirred" a 2005 sportsman 500 4WD HO from my ex that has been sitting a while. 79 hours on it 800 miles. I was going thru it to see what it needed and as soon as I turn the key on I get a HOT light on the pod and the speedo needle flashes. I don't have a sensor that I can find at the radiator although I did find one in the cylinder head. At ambient temp it reads about 1800 ohms and the resistance decreases as engine warms up. Fan never kicks on and I know the fan is good because I jumpered 12vdc straight to it and it operated. I followed the wires from the thermistor and they go straight to the sure pak thru a couple of connectors. Would it be safe to assume that the sure pak is junk? Fan not running and HOT light on?. Also I need some advice. I got the bike for $300 bucks and like I said it has 79 hors on it. I have it running right now (rough), needs some carb work, mag wont power anything so far. Other than the plastic faded, seat trashed and been sitting, it is s cream puff. What is this machine worth parted out. I need to make a decision on wich direction I am going before I put anymore money in it. Thanks in advance!

2015 scrambler 1000...

After a long high-speed run in the sand, I cannot switch gears while the engine is running and, the bike "creeps" when in gear without pressing the throttle. obviously the belt is engaged.

I'm going on vacation for a month starting today, so I don't have time to rip it apart before I leave...
I'm wondering if anybody has had this issue, and what was done to resolve it. Would be nice to have the parts waiting for me to do the repair when I return from my travels.

I installed the QSC clutch kit, with the weights and springs a year ago and never had any trouble until now.

I have a 2013 outlander 650 and I am looking for a complete replacement for the fuel sender. Does any one know the part number and where to buy the complete sending unit.
