Can anyone recommend something to make this seat more durable? Is there one made better? Mine is seriously weak at the forward in and flimsy. I just got that machine and compared the seat to my dad's 2001 Polaris seat and it's 100x built better !!! Unreal poor quality on this seat dang.
2018 570 question
Hola group,
just a quick question. I understand that the width of a 570 is approximately 48". Just enough to fit into the box of a pickup truck.
What is the width of the inner wheel to inner wheel? 35-40"? I'm just wondering if there's enough space to slide some loading ramp down between the tires, once the ATV is loaded onto a pickup truck.
TIA,
-Jav

New to Forum, Hello all!!
New to these parts, currently in process of looking around to purchase new or used Sportsman. Looking between 500-700cc. Really leaning toward buying new 2018 570 but also been checking into a 2011 550 in mint condition but has just over 5k on it.
2012 850XP Shop Manual
Hi all, I have a 2012 Sportsman 850XP EPS and was trying to see if anybody has a pdf of the shop/ service manual for it. I have a service manual for a 2009 850, is the 2012 manual very different, and if so, does anybody know what is different?
Thanks in advance!

Accessories for a 450 and an 850 Touring
Newbie poster here, appreciate any advice in advance.
Just purchased a 2018 base 450 HO and a 2018 850 SP Touring. Have $250 in accessories credit on both machines, but can't combine the credits. I was just going to buy a winch for the 850 and be done with it but I can only use one voucher towards that. So, what are some good, must have, recommended accessories for these machines. My 12 year old son will ride the 450 and the 850 is the wife and I. Mostly easy trails, nothing crazy. No plowing or work use, no hunting use, just recreational riding. I am probably going with a 3500 lb winch on the 850 and will pay the difference. What about the other machine? Was gonna throw hand guards on both, but those are cheap. Thanks for the help!

ReVolt plans retro electric motorcycle based on WWII-era BMW
Filed under: Green,BMW,Misc. Automakers,Motorcycle,Electric
Lithium battery technology company Alternet Systems announced Tuesday the formation of a new company that will build an electric motorcycle based on the classic 1938 BMW R71 motorcycle with sidecar used by German troops during World War II and by Steve McQueen to outrun them in the 1963 film "The Great Escape."Continue reading ReVolt plans retro electric motorcycle based on WWII-era BMW

Skid Plate pricing (Ricochet-Iron Baltic-SPOP)
For anyone in the market for new skid plates for their ATV I'm going to pass on what I have found. The following prices reflect a quote for a 2017 Can Am Outlander Max 850 XT full coverage shipped to Massachusetts. Your particular ATV may be priced differently.
Ricochet (Aluminum)
$504.95
- 15% code FORUMS-2018
= $429.20
+ $37.18 Shipping
Total = $466.38
Iron Baltic (HDPE)
$515.00
Free Shipping
Total = $515.00
SPOP (Swedish Performance Off road Parts)
$350.00 (HDPE)
+ $35.00 Shipping
Total = $385.00
I chose SPOP for the following reason:
1. Price (I'm cheap)
2. Designed to work with my Can AM plow mount.
3. Customer Service. I emailed them with a question and received a response within 5 minutes. In all fairness, I did not email Iron Baltic and Ricochet responded to a question within 24 hours.
Please do not make this a debate over which product is better. I am simply sharing this information for anyone that may be in the market for skid plates.
