Hub Interchangability

Does anyone know if the rear hubs are interchangeable from a sportsman to an ATP? The part number for the ATP hub is discontinued (5133360) so I am not able to order them.

2010 850XP Battery Removal

I went and left the quad off of it's battery tender a little too long and now have a battery that won't recharge. This is the first time I've had to replace the battery on this bike. Easy enough to find and remove the terminal connections.

But the strap holding the battery in, I can't seem to find how to remove that. Can someone help me with that?

Thanks!

New guy

Hello,

I just found this forum searching for some information on my 850 XP EPS.

hi

i have a 1992 Honda Fourtrax 300, and a 2005 polaris 700 efi

Where am I?!

So I figured this would be the best place to put this but mods feel free to move it to somewhere you deem more appropriate.

I'm new to riding and luckily have a few ATV parks nearby that I can check out.

Unfortunately for me I'm not great at keeping my bearings to know where I'm at to find my way back.

*Insert fanfare* here comes maplets. Now I'm not sure how many maps are available but the two parks near me and the one near my buddy in Arkansas are on there. Basically maplets is an app available on iOS store or for Android you can get it from the Amazon app store it was not listed in the regular Google play store last I checked.

Anyway the app allows you to download the maps for the parks so you do not.need an internet connection to use them. As long as you have the clear skies to get a GPS signal it will at the very least give you some idea of where you're at on the trail.

It was very useful for a group I went riding with down at one of the larger parks here in Texas. We kind of just took off from camp and starting riding and realized later we weren't quite sure where we were at. I got my phone out (in it's trusty ziploc.to stay clean touch screen works great in bag still) and got the map up and sure enough we we're at the far end of the park and just needed to make a couple turns to get a main trail back to camp.

So again. It may not be all that useful as I'm not sure if locations near you would be available but if they are I definitely recommend giving it a try.

Rim size questions

Accidentally posted this in the general forum first.

I am about to pull the trigger on some better shoes for my 17 sportsman 570. The stock tires are not cutting it in this PA terrain. I am going with bearclaw htrs. I wanted to go up a size to 26” from the stock 25”. After reading, I would either need spacers or a different offset wheel. So I was planing on grabbing some itp delta steelies with the proper offset. I just noticed that most wheels are only offered in 12x7. That’s cool for the front (stock is 12x6) but what about the rear? Stock size is 12x8 with a 10 inch wide tire... isn’t it going to baloon the tire going an inch narrower on the rim and an inch wider on tires? Not a fan of the baloon look, I like that squared off look... someone correct me if I’m wrong or maybe post some pics of this set up
