Hello all, I own a 96 sportsman 500 that I recently acquired from a friend. I’ve done quite a bit of work to it to restore it to its former glory. The tires on it now are the factory Goodyear’s that are dry rotted and cracked like crazy. I have a set complete set of 12” rim tires off of another quad with less than 50 miles on them. However... the rear rims are a 10” on the sportsman. I’ve been researching a solution for almost 2 months now off and on and can’t come to a solution.
I want a factory looking set of Polaris wheels to fit the 4/156 bolt pattern in either a 12x8 or something close. I’ve found through endless searching there are quite a few 12x8 factory Polaris equipped quads but the offset is what worries me. I’ve asked a few people on eBay to measure the offset on some used rims and they get snotty and don’t give me the information I need. The offset that I measured on the stock 10x8.5 rim was around 3 outside 6 inside.
If anybody knows of a factory 12” rim that will fit without using spacers that has a suitable offset and the correct bolt spacing I would greatly appreciate it. I’ve just really need to get this scratched off my list. 2 used rims for ~30 a piece is a lot cheaper and looks better than 2 brand new 10” tires.
Thanks in advance for any help.
