Itp mud light xtr will they grow ???

I just ordered some 27x9x14 itp mud light xtr's for my outlander xmr as a trail tire, it had the 30x9x14 silverbacks on it but I really didn't want those as a trail tire ,the problem is that the 27 itp's look really small next to the silverbacks and didn't know if the itp would grow any at all once mounted ? Quest 500 won’t start

Hello everyone. Hoping to get some advice. Just picked up a non running 2002 Quest 500. In pretty good shape visually. Hasn’t run in a while. Prior owner said it had no spark. He had the ECM tested and it passed, also replaced coil. Started looking things over at home, and there are a few random wires cut or spliced here and there. Look to be spliced wires to run the fan and by pass the neutral safety ( jumped wire on brake lever). Also red and black by the air box no connected to anything but taped up. Put a proper tester on the ignition coil and I do get a good blue spark. I cant tell really how strong, asI never saw this in running mode, for the size (500cc) maybe should be stronger, but it is consistent and blue not orange. Spark also occurs with actual properly gapped plug. Getting good compression. I dont have the actual number as my gauge wont fit the hole. Hand tested and have pulsing reasonable preasure at the head. Also has suction in the intake. I didn’t know how bad the carb was so when it didn’t fire with the carb on, I removed and tried to fir by misting gas/starting fluid straight into the intake port. So I have spark , compression and fuel. But not firing. After cranking, the plug is wet, leading me to think the plug spark might be week under compression. OK so that’s the issue. Any suggestions were to start ? Also , looked everywere for an actual paper manual and cant find one. I have seen some “downloads” available on dubious looking sights, but and reluctant to register and provide a credit card number, so if anyone has a good link for a manual, or at least a scan of the wiring diagram, that would be great. Love to ride, and get this going, any and all help greatly appreciated. Thank you.

2002 Polaris Sportsman 500 Backfires above half throttle

I recently purchased a 2002 Sportsman 500 HO 4x4 with 6000 miles that had been sitting for a long time. I replaced everything fuel related (carb, filter, pump, lines) and flushed tank due to gas turning into varnish :). It starts and idles fairly smoothly and I can slowly advance throttle to about half way. Above that, it spits, sputters and backfires through the carb. Any ideas of what I should check and/or replace? Also, Should the timing be set to TDC or should it be advanced/retarded?

10 Hour Service Dealer Cost Canada?

Hello,
First post here, but I was wondering if anyone got the first 10 hour service done recently here in Canada. Just got a new 2017 Outlander 450 in November, and I never heard about the 10 hour service until today (Bike has 25 hours on it), and I am bringing it over to the dealer tomorrow to get the power steering recall temp. fix, and I would like to get the 10 hour service (Oil change and such) done there since it has a 5 year warranty and I don't know what they would say if I were to do it myself. I heard it can cost a pretty penny, but I never really found much on it around here.

Thanks.

newbie sportsman 570 questions

Hello everyone, I've been riding atv's and bikes since I was about 5 years old. I sold my last wheeler a few years ago and decided to get back into it. The polaris dealer down the road had a really clean 15' sportsman 570 for not a lot more money than some of the junk I was seeing private party. So I pulled the trigger on it. It has 80 hours and 490 miles on it. The owner of the dealership said the PO was very meticulous and traded it in for a new ranger. This is my first polaris machine and I love it so far. I just have a few basic questions.
1.) The oil level looks very high on the dipstick. Checked both hot and cold. It's high. Owners manual says 2 quarts. Dealer said they changed it. Should I drain some out? or should I call them on it? Can this damage the engine? No signs of oil burning or oil in the airbox.
2) there is a very light tapping sound coming from the engine when fully warmed up and Idling. If the engine rpms are more than idle it goes away. if the engine is not fully up to temp there is no noise. I read that this is normal on the 570? Some people have reported clutch weights making a sound like that also. I read a couple posts about a spring loaded mechanism making the noise and that its normal. can anyone confirm this? Could it be related to the oil being overfilled?

Other than these two minor things, I love this thing. It's smooth, powerful, and the AWD works really nicely.
I've got a 30 day warranty from them so I just wanted some opinions on those 2 things. Thanks!
