570 Fender Flares/Over Fenders

I run tracks on my 570 and in powder snow is getting into everything. Considering a set of fender flares to try to eliminate some of the "spray". Any recommendations? Post some pics if you've done this mod? Thanks in advance.

Buying advice please… Outlander 570 DPS

Hey there! I'm new here looking for feedback on an upcoming purchase.

I'm looking to buy an ATV for my wife. She primarily uses it to drag a horse arena, spray for weeds with a rear-mounted sprayer, tow a 650 lb. mower, and just play around on the 10 acres she rides on.

I've narrowed it down to 3 units, all new. They are a 2017 Outlander 570 DPS on sale for $5,899, a 2018 Outlander 450 DPS at $6,599, and a 2017 Honda Rancher DCT EPS on sale for $6,299.

She's a petite gal currently using a 2005 Arctic Cat 300 4x4 & I'm concerned the 570 DPS might be too much machine but the price seems by far the best value. Also wondering how much more the maintenance might cost on the v-twin?

I'm looking for feedback on known issues relating to these 3 units and suggestions and reasonings for which to buy. Also, is buying a warranty extending the standard 6 months worth it?

Many thanks in advance.

Lube questions

1) if you noticed the oil drain plug gasket wasn’t installed but there is absolutely no leakage, would you drop the oil and install or just monitor?

2) are these o rings all the same size?
What size? Am I missing it in the service manual?

2006 Outlander 800 Ho idle problem

Trying to help my neighbor with his 2006 Outlander 800 HO with 280hrs. Don't know any history other than it sat unused for 2+ years. I drained gas, changed oil, fuel filter, air filter, spark plugs, battery. Tried to crank no go. Give a little throttle fires right up. Revs fine. Will not idle just dies. Red light was on. Checked code just 1 iac. Bought new iac valve. Now it cranks fine but idle speed is 1650-1700 . Red light still on same code. Do I need to do anything to calibrate iac? Does the dealer need to reset first?
Oh I did make sure the throttle body is clean plate moves freely seems ok. My mind leans toward air leak? Any ideas?

What is this part

Hello, im hoping you guys can help me. I bought a 2002 Polaris sportsman 700(not running) as a project. This is my first 4 wheeler at 46 yrs old. Rode and raced mx from 9yrs old to mid thirties. Anyway I’m going through it replacing what I know is bad, solenoid,battery,etc... I ran across the item in the pic and it looks like it should have a hose or something going to it but there is nothing. Every pic I can find online has nothing attached. Just wandering what it is for. Thanks
