09 550xp vs 2011 550efi

Guys Im looking at 2 different quads. One is a 09 550xp and the other is a 2011 550. Is there a difference between these? The older 550XP seems to have a all digital dash 2800 miles 290 hrs its in great shape. The 2011 550efi has 57 hrs and 624 miles. There is about a 1,000 difference in the price. WHATS THE DIFFERENCE? Ive searched and really cant seem to find anything.

Thanks

oh the 09 xp is a burgundy color but has shiny paint over a plastic look of the 2011

Riding in Haneyville and camping at Little Pine State Park central PA

Looking forward to Memorial day weekend. Last summer I booked at camping cottage at little Pine state park for this coming memorial day weekend. I have never stayed there, or ridden the Nearby Tiadaghton State Forest Haneyville ATV Trail System. I am not counting on it by any means, but I am hoping it's somehow possible to ride from the Park to the trail system since they are so close. Some PA towns have gotten more friendly to atvs on local roads. Anybody been there lately? The info on the park website seems to indicated more than enough parking for my truck and trailer at the campsite. Any info greatly appreciated.

Finally got me a Polaris!

Hey guys,

I just picked up a 2008 Sportsman 700 X2 EFI. It's in really good shape, but needs a couple of CV boots replaced. Thinking about doing that myself. This is my first ATV, so I'm looking forward to the learning experience and having fun with this thing. I bought it mainly to work around my place. I've got a big yard, so I want to get a sprayer setup for it.

Anyway, if anybody has any words of wisdom for me regarding maintenance and repairs, please share.

Heated Grips Overheating ’09 Sportsman X 850

Heated Grips overheating. 2009 Sportsman 850 XP Browning Edition. Getting 13 volts to grip on right side with switch off. (both switches test good w/ meter) Also getting 4 volts to left side grip with switch off. ( separate switches for each grip ) Can anyone tell me where to find what control's the voltage to the grips ? I think this is where the problem lies.
Thanks in advance. Lakeman007

new to me 2006 sportsman 500 having issues

Bought this quad in october of 2017 added a snow plow and have only used it plowing my driveway. After a couple of snow storms the check engine light came on for awhile, then went out. Used it again and the check engine light did the same thing. Last week the check engine light came on and has stayed on since. Read the owners manual about fault codes, and can't get it to do anything. turn the key 3 times in 5 sec produces nothing, holding the mode switch in and turning key on will let me scroll through trip, miles, battery voltage, sometimes it won't do anything. No fault codes. Thought maybe running the engine would allow me to do something, got nothing there either. Went out today to play with it and it would turn over but wouldn't start. Now I'm pissed. Can someone help, thanks.
