Skid Plates

Hey all! Looking for input and opinions on Skid Plates. When I purchase my 570 I am leaning towards having them install the full Can Am skid plates.
What do you guys recommend for protecting my investment- Alluminum or Composite?
Thank you

Specific XMR workshop Manual

I know this has come up a few time before regarding a workshop manual BUT I need a specific workshop manual if anyone knows where to look please.

I have a 2011 Outlander XMR and have the outlander g1 and g2 manuals with the extra dps and air sus manuals BUT my XMR air suspension is completely different to those in any manual I have or can find.

At the moment I cannot plumb my suspension in because I have no idea where the hoses go to what part of the compressor and 4 solinoid valves. I think I have around about 7 or 8 air pipe fittings. No other manual has this.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Outlander 1000 Clutching

I been doing a lot of research on clutching and the general consensus I've seen is people going with the QSC primary on these quads. Before I jump in and start throwing tires at my quad I wanted to fully grasp what everyone is doing here in regards to clutching their 1000's and what set-up you're running and type of riding you do. I'm familiar with tuning a Bruteforce clutch, I've owned a few Kawis in the past but the amount of options for clutching a Can-am is... plenty!

So, are most of you guys biting the bullet off the hop and running the QSC primary? If so are you changing the spring in the secondary? additionally I haven't been able to get much info on the difference/benefit to a 650 helix in the secondary so If someone can bring me up to speed on that, would be appreciated. And for those running just a clutch kit (EPI/Dalton..etc) How do you like it/settings/tire size?

I get that I'm going to see quite a bit of variation here between everyones own set-up, riding conditions and tire size but I figure just seeing more info will help me figure out what I'm going to do to this quad.

Thanks!

Installed thumb warmer..

Purchased pair off ebay, one for my 570 and one for the wifes 400HO. I installed mine today on the 570. works very good I used the keyed on power supply under the accessory access panel that way if it was ever left on or the switch hit it would be shutdown with key off keeping battery from going dead.mounted the power switch top right of pod.

Bighorns or Outlaws

I've had an offer arise to trade my current 28 inch outlaws on my sportsman 850 for a set of 27 of bighorn 1's. My outlaws have about 400 miles on them and the bighorns have about 150 miles. I do know this for a fact as the owner of the bighorns is one of my close friends. I do a lot of field, creek, and mild trail riding, with a little snow and mud. I used to mud ride a lot and nothing but mud, but not much now. Would this be an ideal trade? And if so, what am I looking at for durability/life of these tires? Thanks

Starting issue

Hey guys,
The other day I went to start my four wheeler and it started up. It was a little cold outside so the motor stalled out from being cold. I went to start it again and now it won’t even turn over. It’s like a kill switch is on. Also the pull start won’t start the motor and I used to use the pull start a lot and it would take one pull to start it that way. Anything I should look for. I also replaced the solenoid a day before but should I buy a new one and put it in and try to start it? What should I start with to get the wheeler back up and running?

Standard steering shaft

I’m going back to manual steering . After 2 failed dps I’ve had it. And this bike has never seen water unless washed ! Looking at steering shafts . Looks like many different years are the same ??? Been on couple different parts sites all years seem to have same part # Is this correct ?? Thanks with help
