Sportsman 500 bogging

Hello. I am trying to help out a friend with his Sportsman. I'm not with the machine and when I get up there, Internet will be spotty at best, so I'm trying to gather as much info as possible beforehand.

What I know is that the engine would idle fine, but it got progressively bad where when rolling in, it would bog down. Eventually, you couldn't drive it all. He took it into the dealer and they rebuilt the carb and it was quite a bit better, but not 100%. He drove it awhile and it started getting worse and worse and now it's back in an undrivable state.

He cleaned out the tank and line and (I think) installed a new filter. He also replaced a fuel line to the pump due to a leak.

Is there a way to check fuel pressure? From his description and his feeling is that it's a fuel problem, but what if it isn't? Could it be something else like timing? (I'm not familiar with these things, so bear with me and any irrelevant questions.) Are there parts in the carb that typically fail/wear out?

Lastly, what is a reliable and quality source for parts outside of the dealer since he needs new rear pads and rotor and both rear CV axles.

2007 Polaris sportsman 800 doesn’t run right need help!

I have a 2007 Polaris sportsman 800 that just seems to be getting choked like it’s really not letting all it’s power go and it won’t idle it cranks up and drives ok; fast but not crazy fast if kinda lunges and seems to bog out and it will idle for a minute when you stop but then shuts off and my speedo is broke so I can’t see rpms or even run to see codes I need help!

2003 sp 700 left cylinder not firing

I have a 2003 sportsman 700. I took a ride today and was working great. then after I stopped for a while, the left cylinder didn't fire when I started it up again and now it just doesn't run great. it idles fine but hardly any power when you give it gas. Any ideas whats wrong with it?? I used a spark tester to determine the left cylinder isn't firing. the boot had some tape around it so being curious I took the tape off to see what was wrong and it was a little crack in the boot. shouldn't affect it I don't think but just giving the info in case its a problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Sportsman 500 No power to gauge pod only

I'm at my wits end. I really need some help. My 2006 Polaris Sportsman 500 was out of service with a fuel pump issue. Being as how I use my atv for remote excursions, reliability was a must so I purchased the entire fuel tank kit. I have since installed the tank and installed new batter but now the gauge cluster does not function. I have power to my cig lighter port and all of my lights work. The atv only starts with the brake handle in place but it runs smoothly. There's no fuse block to ease troubleshooting. It appears there's no power to the backlight but I can't tell if there's power to the digital readout connector. Can anyone help with my gauge pod issue?

Recall issue-Trade in Advice

Hey all, looking for your thoughts on this....
I have 2017 570MAX XT that is affected by the dps recall which means it's essentially unusable until at least May. I asked my dealership what they would do for me if I wanted to trade it in instead of waiting. If I trade in, I'd go to a 2018 650 MAX XT which is usually $2000-$2500 more than the 570 equivalent. This is canadian dollars.

They won't really give me a break on the cost of the 650 but they offered to give me the maximum blue book "retail" value for my 570 instead of the usual blue book trade in for my model in "clean" condition. According to blue book the max payout they would usually give is $7600 and the max they would typically resell it for is $9000. So they will give me the $9000 for trade.

I'm sure I can get more selling my 570 privately but I'm in a predicament because who's going to pay top dollar for a used atv they can't ride until at least May? I wouldn't.

Should I wait or take the deal and pay about $6000 to trade up to a new 650? I have a feeling that even after my 570 gets a new DPS module, or whatever they do to resolve this safety issue, I will never fully trust this machine again.

Any thoughts?

Starting issues continue

Still am tracking down the starting problems.
Just replaced the starter. Had a piece from magnet broken off. Thought that this was the problem but still same. Starter will turn slow and run out of strength. Some time it will start others just turn the engine over and stop.
With quad of and fan turning if I hit start button it will bring down the fan tona very low speed and not crank.
What should I check

Ignition wire fuses?

I’m installing a winch on my 2013 sportsman 500 ho. I noticed that I’m not getting power from the two small ignition wires under the headlight pod to connect to the winch switch. Is there fuses that connect to these wires?

Issues changing tire size

My 850 sportsman XP has Carlisle 26x8-14 front and 26x10-14 rear. I am not willing to spend $200 a tire at my dealership. Closest tires I can find on-line are 26x9-14 front and 26x11-14 rear. Is this going to cause an issue? I am learning about all of the technical lingo so speak lamen terms please. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

2004 Polaris Sportsman 600 Won’t Cut Off

I have an early model 2004 Sportsman 600 I am bringing back to life. I purchased it new in 2003. So for the last 6-7 years it has been sitting as it needed some work and I really didn't have the cash to fix it but have come through that now and have brought it back to life. I will list below what I replaced to bring it back to life. All the parts were ones I knew when it went down what it needed.

Carburetor, New Ignition module, exhaust gaskets and springs, and everything (Filters, battery, fluids, spark plugs etc.) to do a full service prior to trying to start.

Got all that done and is running great only problem I am having is the key or engine kill switch will not cut the bike off. Also the AWD will not lock in. To cut it off I have to pull the plug on ignition module. I can even disconnect plug from ignition switch and will not kill it.

Please help me on this feel like it's something electrical but am struggling on where to even start. Have cleaned the ground on starter relay and main engine to chassis ground and nothing.
