Hey Guys, I picked up this cool little gauge of eBay for $10 and fitted to 2015 Sportsman 570. It fits in where the older model had the choke. I did have to make the hole a little bigger. I wired it into the 12 volt outlet on the light pod. CheersAttachment 99257Attachment 99265

I recently started tearing down the 2000 magnum 500 I purchased a few weeks ago and figured out why it was sold as a 'seized' atv.

When I took the clutches and covers off, I saw what looks like the balancer sticking out through a hole in the engine case.

I removed the engine and have started to tear it down as well. I'm waiting on a set of 12 point sockets from amazon so I can't get the head off of the engine until they arrive tomorrow.

Aside from a new engine case and likely a balancer (so far), I still plan on trying to make this engine run again.

At what point will it be no longer be worth trying to bring this engine back to life or am I already past that point and don't realize it?

What other damage should I be looking for and at what point does it just become not a smart idea to continue?

I sold my 2012 Can Am Outlander XT 1000 with 465 miles on it last year, and now I am in the market for another, an XT or XTP, would like a Max version, but will look at one person rides. NOT looking for a dedicated mud machine, prefer one from in nice condition with low miles at a decent price. I've been working on a 95 Magnum I just purchased and have an issue with it running lean. I found that it wouldn't run past idle, it would spit/sputter and backfire when trying to rev up past 1/4 throttle. I took the carb off and found that the Main Jet had fell out into the fuel bowl. I was concerned that maybe the carb was just tired and ordered a new one. Same symptoms only not as bad with the new carb. It will run but really boggy and doesn't seem to rev up at WOT. It doesn't backfire and sputter now Idles fine. When I restrict the air flow a little going into the air box it does wind up more at WOT. I've checked the clamps on the inlet and outlet of the carb, the adapter from the carb to the cylinder etc. I've sprayed carb/choke cleaner around all the connections with no success on find an air leak. The new carb has a 145 Main jet and the old had a 127.5. I moved the clips on the Jet Needle down to the bottom. Not sure what else to check? What would the symptoms of a failing fuel pump be?

Recently bought my first Polaris sportsman. It’s a 02 sportsman 700. Going thru the atv and doing the maintenance and found coolant mixed in with the oil. Are they known for headgaskets? I was told it was most likely the mechanical water pump seal. I have the seals ordered and already torn down to that point. Any advice?

Last sunday 1/21/18 5 of us went for good ride, stopped in pit 1/4 way into ride, got to the thicker trail and a branch swiped my vid camera off helmet. I found it missing about half way through the course we were taking. today Monday morning I went back with my son to find it. I drove the 400EX and he drove the blaster we can make that run in half the time plus I had good idea where I lost it. We did find it right in middle of endure path. When it was brushed off 4 other quads ran over the top of it pretty funny at end of vid the other quads going over it. I cut about 30 minutes out of vid.

I will have to come back and load the vid.

Took the ATV out on Green Bay Sunday, was out 7.5 miles from shore and set up in the dark to catch some White Fish. As the sun came up I was staring at my fish locator and when I looked up this is what appeared on the canvas inside front wall of my shanty, what do you see?

I see a face of a person wearing a cowboy hat and a jacket with a high collar?

I took 3 pictures, texted them to the other 2 people with me and they told me to MOVE!!! I was obviously in someones spot!!!

It was gone about 3 minutes later as the sun angle changed. CREEPY

I snapped a wheel stud on the front of my 95 300 4x4. I ordered and received a new stud (7515523), but it doesn't fit.

I guess the OP that owned the atv before not only used the plastics from a 90 something 350L, but also the front hubs.

I'm now looking for a 7515330, but they no longer exist. Does anyone know if they subbed this part with another one or if anything else will fit?

I'd hate to have to pay the $30 with shipping they are looking for on ebay for a single bolt.
