550 Sportsman EPS issue weak

I have a 2010 Sportsman 550 and the EPS just quit the other day?! After sitting a couple days I took it for a ride and all of a sudden it was working again! Then it quit! I tried the dielectric grease on the relay which did nothing and then replaced the relay which did nothing! However I noticed the following things. If I lift the front wheels off the ground It steers easier with the key on than off, and I can here the EPS unit running. If I have it on the ground and hold pressure on the handlebars to turn it, It will turn very slowly. I have no light on in the dash! and no code that I can see. I hope (always hope) that the unit is not the issue but need to know if there are other tests I can do? Thanks Dave

Predator 90 – Difficult starting, poor running

I have a Predator 90 that is extremely difficult to get started in the cold. In addition I have to leave the choke partially on to get throttle response. Small amounts of choke are always required to not have throttle hesitation. Can anyone advise if their is an adjustment I can make, if I need to re-jet or any other suggestions to resolve the problem.

*I live in Georgia so altitude and extreme cold are not part of the equation. Temps are typically in the 40s when I start having starting issues. The ATV runs well once started and with partial choke.

Thanks for any help in advance. Its greatly appreciated.

2000 polaris sportsman 500 running rich

Hey guys I just picked up a 2000 Polaris sportsman 500 and it seems like it's running rich. It doesn't smoke or bog or anything just has a gas exhaust smell to it when it's running. It doesn't make a difference weather it's idling or driving. It shows no signs of power loss or cutting out just stinks. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing it to smell rich? I've already checked the air filter and it was clean. Thanks

That is one mean machine!

We’re not exactly sure if this militarized Polaris General is designed to work in the snow or the dirt, but from the looks of it, we’re not sure it matters. We wouldn’t have guessed that orange and camouflage could work together in a color scheme, but it definitely does, and this General definitely looks like it’s ready for battle.

You would think people would have the common sense to practice their stunts in a place that if something went wrong, there’s plenty of room for error. Nope. This guy wanted to ride wheelies with walls on three sides of him. Clearly he wasn’t expecting his throttle to stick. ATV.com recommends that ATV riders always […] more
