Newbie here, but I've searched and can't find anything related to my issue. I have a 2005 Sportsman 800 EFI that is totally losing electrical power. It doesn't seem to matter what the weather is, how long I've been riding, nothing. It will run for about a minute, then lose all power and die. After 30 to 45 seconds, it comes to life again and starts just fine. It does this over and over. The timing of these events seems very consistent, so I think it could be a problem with the ECM? Does anyone have any input on the issue?

For plowing snow and hauling dirt (at-home landscaping), is the 450 fine or should I come up with the cash and get a 570? I ride a few light trails by my house, but I don't have any reason to go fast, I mostly like crawling along over stuff in the woods.

I know that this is a can-am form, but is there any reason why a Can-Am is not a good ATV for plowing snow?

My daughters like to ride with me when I tootle in the woods (they are currently 10 and 7). I have one of those aftermarket seats that I used with my previous ATV. Is it worth going to the MAX models or should I just stick with a single seater with the plastic aftermarket seat?

I know most of these things would be good if I can afford it, but the truth is that I am making this purchase because my '14 Polaris 570's engine just seized, and I still owe on it. The dealer is giving me the best deal they can, and I really don't want to spend any more than I have to, but I do want to make sure I get the right machine for what I do.

Rockymountainatv has a deal going with the purchase of four tires. You get an $80 credit. I went for it as the cost of all four tires was $300 even with free shipping and I get the card sometime later. Hard to pass up that kind of a bargain. If the tires work OK, I will be satisfied. One issue is I had to go to 27 inch so there will be some meat under the machine now.
Can anybody speak to this tire design? I would have gone with with big horns or ITP Terra Cross if I didn't see this deal. But the cost would have been double.

I have a 2017 XTP 1000 and I want to add a full exhaust and tuner, will this negate the warranty on my bike?

Warn winch with handlebar control

No voltage at the winch terminals when on the machine (winch works fine when jumped to battery).

Switch appears to test ok.

I'm assuming the problem is in the contactor/solenoid. When I check the two small wires that go into the solenoid (the same wires that connect to the switch), I have continuity between them. My guess is that means the solenoid is shot and is allowing contact.

Does anyone know the correct way to test these wires?

Just got my brand new cvtech in. Today. Been watching videos on installing it. Question: some people show that they remove the black plate on the inside of the clutch. Should I and what are the benefits of leaving it and removing it?
