Looking to buy a lift kit and 32.5 outlaws for my 2017 850 High Lifter sportsman. I'm going back and forth between a 5 inch lift and axles or super atv 4 inch portal boxes. My first option is the portals but I'm not sure how the bike will perform with the extra gear reduction on top of what it already has. Post your thoughts and pictures if you got em!

New side by side owner
Bought a 2018 Can-Am Maverick Trail 1000. Avid quad rider since I live 2 miles from our largest sand dunes. Wanted a side by side to take my 4 year old Grandson with me and still wanted to be legal width for the New Mexico National Park Forest Trails only a couple hours away. It’s great and keeps right up with my friends with their big boy side by sides.

Front A-arm removal problem
Hi everybody,
So, on my Sportsman 500 HO 2013, I took the maintenance project to remove, sand and paint my A-arms as they getting rusty. also cleaning and greasing all inner shaft and bushing.
I Thought it would be and easy job, but it is not, I had problem removing removing the rear top arm as the axles are in the way.. and now cant remove the front arm as only one of the bolt got loose, the shaft turns with the rear bolt so I cant remove it...
so here my 1st question, am I over kill? a friend told me that putting grease one these will get them sticky and it will atrack dirt possibly making it worse... true?? I found many rust spot on the shaft and those are moving parts , so I think it does need grease, but I see my friend point... your guys thought?
question #2, is there a trick to get the inner shaft (in the front arm) to stop spining with the bolt? I try to put back the front bolt back, but it is alway that last one that loosens up... advice?
Thank you.

Sportsman 450/570 vs 2018 Kodiak 450
Hey All,
New to the forum and to the sport! Looking at getting an entry level atv and I see the best deals are on these models... I had a little Yamaha Blaster but sold it and am now looking for an upgrade.
My questions:
How does the Yamaha Kodiak 450 compare to the Polaris models? I assume the 570 has more pickup and power, but how does the 450HO compare? It would be basically for field or trail riding...
The Yamaha 450 is about $500 more than a 570 so price is definitely a factor... Thanks!
