The Best Cleaning Chemicals

Curious what everyone is using to remove a days worth of mud and grime from your machines.
I am looking for the best spray on cleaners/degreasers out there that can be used once pressure washing the bulk of the mud off.
I've used and had some decent results with the typical 409 spray, but feel there has to be something better with new technology, or is there...?
I've seen some of the manufacturers out there now have a "Moto" line, but am I paying more for the same products found in other cleaners, or are you guys finding that these lines are in fact better?
Since I've requested info from the forum, I'll share a secret of mine. When washing white colored items such as the plastics on my Scrambler, I have found that pouring Bleach White in my soapy water works like a charm. I've used BW since I was a kid and have had great results. Since it is a bit harsh, following up with a polish is recommended.

2004 400 sportsman kills when not under power

Hoping for some help. My sportsman started killing as soon as I let off the throttle. It starts fine but if I don't continue to throttle it it dies. It does not sound like it's an adjustment in the linkagewhen it dies. There is no sputtering or any hesitation when it stops running. It sounds like it ty would if you turned the key off. Now an then.maybe 1.out of every 40 times it won't turn off immediately but that is very rare. Any advice is appreciated mich.

28″ Tire size question

Hey guys,

I am debating on getting new tires for my quad as is everyone else. I want to run Blackwater evos but am between two sizes. I would like to run either 28x10R12 on all four corners or 27x11R12 rears and 27x9R12 fronts.

I would like to run the larger tires and i know i will need a clutch kit, no big deal.

The question is can i run the 28" tires on stock rims? Or will i need to purchase the same size rims all the way around?

Thanks in advance.

First Can Am I own

Getting to know the outlander. I had owned Hondas before but although they take you there, not with a smile on your face if you know what I mean.
While looking for a Rincon I came across an Outty 800 2013 with 80 miles. Owned by a lady that just rode it twice. This atv had not seen water nor mud.
Allegedly she had it serviced a couple times. The atv has 12 hrs on it.
I am thinking about changing engine and diff oils. Checked the dipstick and the oil looks brand new. Recommendations?
It is somewhat hard to shift. I’ve read about replacing the oneway bearing. Any thoughts?
Other than that the atv is brand new.

If you all know about places to ride near North Dallas let me know - other than Rocky Ridge.

Sportsman front bumpers

Hey guys I got a 2017 sportsman 570 sp, looking into some bumpers for it. I found one I really liked and just wondering if anyone knew where it mounted or if it would bolt on no problem? I'm also a big fan of the bumper on the utility edition but I know that one needs some fab work, kind of between the two at this point since I don't like the other one polaris offers, and I'm not crazy on the atv guru bumpers.

2017 hl 850

Hey guys,

I'm looking into purchasing a new quad and have been giving deep thought to a 2017 HL 850. Ill be spending 90% of my time in mud holes and 10% on the trail traveling to other holes. My primary question is how hard is the quad to steer without EPS. Also i've been quoted a phenomenal price for an XMR 650 and a decent price for an XMR 850 how does the HL compare to those two quads? Thanks!

2017 XMR 650 Vs Competitors

Hi guys,
New to the forum here and looking into buying a new quad here soon. I've been indecisive between the 650 XMR, 850 XMR and the Polaris Highlifter 850. I can get a pretty fantastic deal on a 2017 650 XMR but my main concern is how noticeable is the extra power on the 850? I mainly mud ride and am not much of a trail rider. My main complaint on the Polaris is it doesn't have power steering which is a bummer. Thanks for the help.

Sigh more issues with my outlander

Okay guys tried to go riding tonight. 07 outlander max 800. New belt new clutches new helix new side cover. Took for a quick five minute spin did great. Then later went to go riding with a buddy in the snow, rode it down the road a few miles and it lost forward gear. Heard what sounded like slapping belt. Wouldn’t go forward in high or low. But would do fine in reverse no irregular noise at all. Took cover off didn’t see any issues. All was tight and looked good. It was half hour later by this time. I put back together , and I had forward gear. But only for 30 seconds if that. Then the slapping continued. Still reverse is fine. My buddy said he saw sparks coming from the center rear end area. But I wonder what could that have been. Left it at his house for the night. Will dive more into it tomorrow. But figured see if you guys had any ideas. It’s a gates carbon belt. Belt looks perfectly fine. At this point I’ve had nothing but issues from this atv. Seems like a curse. I’ll admit it’s a new belt and I didn’t go easy on it. First couple shot rides around my neighborhood I went easy on her. But after that was a higher rpm road ride. I literally am stumped. I have another new belt a gates Kevlar. Maybe will swap them tomorrow and try to limp her home.
