Need help please….Polaris Sportsman 850

I have a 2012 Polaris 850 touring. I hadn't used it in 5 weeks. Went to use it and all I got when I turned the key was a click. I knew the battery was probably going bad after 5 years. I took it out and charged it over night. It seemed to take a charge so reinstalled it. I forgot to turn off the key so when I reconnected it I got a small spark when attaching the cables to the battery. Now, I get NOTHING when I turn the key. I checked all the fuses near the battery. They are all good. I removed the battery and put in a brand new battery. It is the same identical battery. Now when I turn the key, NOTHING. It is totally dead. No headlights either. Anyone got any suggestions? I sure would appreciate any help. NOTE: When I don't use it for periods of over 45-60 days, I always use a battery minder.

Thanks,

Phil

2017 Commander – Hard Wiring CB / Other Accessories

I have a 2017 Commander and want to hard wire my CB instead of powering it from the aux power port (aka the old cigarette lighter method). Is there a way to tap into the fuse box or do I need to wire it off the battery with a separate fuse. Since I have other things I'm going to add (e.g. horn, lights, etc) I really don't want a bunch of stuff running directly from the battery if there is a way to take advantage of the fuse box. I pulled the cover off the fuse box but didn't see anything familiar to get power from. Thanks...

03 03 700 twin speedo

I have an 03 sportsman 700 twin, the speedo works, but the digital part only shows hours, Miles and gear selection, is it supposed to show fuel or rpm's ? I ask because I just rebuilt the carb and trying to set idle I have no way to set to an rpm range, maybe that year doesn't have it or my speedo is bad, sorry this is a new quad to me.
Thanks! Derek
