Howdy! Just beginning to collect needed info on my new to me 2011 Sportsman 500 HO; lower km's at 2500 km's @ 250 hrs .

In most need of a pdf Service Manual for 2011 Sportsman 500 HO so I can do a good mech once over this winter. Found a good popular post pinned at the top started in 2012 where you could purchase pdf ser man's for $8; is he still selling them? and found another site that just sold pdf for $10 but didn't have my specific model; its the specific "2011 Spman 400-500 HO" (carb-ed) service man needed.

Which leads to the first question; Im smelling gas; this might be left over smell due to transporting it home in a trailer from the gentleman I bought it from; or a warren carb needle and seat.

Other suggestions on known stuff to check would also appreciated; shift lever seems a bit loose, side to side, is that normal? will do as much preventative maintenance over the winter.

I cannot get at the oil filter on my '17 450 HO. Is there a special wrench that gives a guy access to this filter?? They only needed to make a hole in the bash plate to allow access for a wrench. DUH.

Hey guys I installed a 6? Super atv lift and I love it but my second ride I broke a rear axle. They warrentied it free of charge but still a pain. It was nothing bad at all and it broke the inner joint.

Is this going to be s ongoing issue and when Warrenty is gone just do some turners ????

Or did i do some thing wrong lol

I am sure this has been asked before but my search didn't turn up anything. Is there an aftermarket kit available to add PS to a 570 Sportsman? I am not sure I would want to do it, but sometimes I think it would be nice to have PS instead of wrestling the bike unassisted.

Disregard, I found my answer.

He said Polaris is tired of hearing complaints about them. He said they were told by Polaris the 2018 XP 1 up sportsman machines use new material in the bushings and bearings.

Wondering if the new curved a arms are built any better in this regard. I have not seen any posts about issues with the tabs breaking off like all the other years that use straight a-arms.
