Garmin and GPX files

Not sure where to go with this one, but I have a Garmin Montana 800 and loaded the ATV trails off the Minnesota DNR site, seems to work.

I was on this site,
Northwoods ATV Trails Home Page
And they ilist a GPX file for your device.

I'm assuming that's the GPS unit?

If so, do I just load it into the Garmin and it'll come up automatically?

Garmin was no help so hoping somebody here knows.

Any other trails in MN I can load?

TIA

Al

Garmin just came through, now just wondering about any other GPX files for MN?

Repeated wheel bearing failure

Hi guys, been a while since I've posted but I'm at a loss here. The quad is a 2013 renegade 800r. The problem is I go through left rear wheel bearings like crazy. I only get about 100-200 miles from each bearing, and this is the only corner that does this. I've replaced all wheel bearings and the other 3 are in perfect condition.

I've tried oem bearings, all balls, cheap eBay brand, they all went bad at the same rate. I've put 3 bearings in the trailing arm since spring. I grease the bearings with a greaser, use a press to get them out and in, and tighten axle nut to 150 ft lbs which is spec.

The most recent replacement, I also installed a new axle and hub to determine if either of those was the issue. I got the same result. The first 2 bearings this summer were with 27" swamp lites, the most recent junk bearing is with 30" silverback mt2 with 1" spacers. This setup had no effect on the bearing as it went bad in the same time frame.

What could I possibly be doing wrong? Am I missing something here? In a Facebook post I read that someone had a floating hub to resolve bearing issues, does anyone know about these? Thanks in advance for the help!

Sunday Ride

Went for a nice Sunday ride just me and the wife yesterday. It was an absolutely beautiful day and we were able to explore some new trails and just relax. Even found a small lake that would be accessible only by ATV so we stopped and had lunch on a lookout.

17 xp 1000 first 200 mile review

Took my new bike out for the first two times the weekend broke it in an put 200 miles on.

Drove out around my house a little bit and first thought was thank god it has a standard mode because I can strap wings on this thing an fly to the moon lol I put 28 inch roctans on the bike off my rzr and I'm ever glad I did.

The rocranes keep the front of the bike down an the power went from being scary wild animal fast to just a wild animal lol thought i was Goin to have to clutch it but the clutch feels perfect with the big tires.

Went on a 300 + bike rally saturday that was dominated by can am an sxs. First thing I noticed was how much attention the bike gets ! The new body looks awesome and it seemed like everyone always noticed the bike. The factory exhaust sounds awesome ! The new seat puts you a bit lower on the bike and it makes for a very conformable ride.

This new xp is so well balanced I feel like I have made no sacrifice Goin to a big 1000. It's comfortable, mid range power is smooth. The throttle response is easily the best I have experienced. It's smooth to cruise and as soon as you yank on it it goes into full on attack mode !

The bike handled really good tho it did take me those 2 days to really figure it out with the 28's. The headlights are really bright. The suspension soaks up roots n bumps at any speed. The cargo space was plenty sufficent.

At the end of the day I feel like this is potentialy the best bike on the market imo.
Looks awesome, drive's really smooth and handles very good for a big bike. The power is never Goin to get old ! I just wanna go ridin continously !

P.s the bumper's for this bike look aggressive !

A few years ago at the Rally on the Rocks, we spied this quirky, creative Kawasaki Teryx build that mimicked everyone’s favorite tow truck, Mater from Disney’s CARS. Although the machine probably isn’t the ideal recovery vehicle, it sure brought a smile to a lot of folks faces and we thought it was more than […] more
