Was wanting to get a new ride for hunting. Decided on the 2018 hunting edition, but no dealer near me has one. A couple called me in and tried to sale me 2016 Outty models with camo plastics, but not the actual hunting editions. When asked about them, they gave me the runaround and kept trying to get me on a 2016... one even wanted to give me a deal on a PoPo. I explained that I?m set on the actual Hunting Edition that Can-Am has on the website and left. One took my info and gave me a 2018 book with the Hunting Outty in it lol. He said he can maybe get me on a 2017 :| Everything is in place to walk out with one today and now I can?t locate the one I want :\

hey, just introducing myself being wheeling for a while with a 02 kvf 650 this is my first crack into the can am world. Any tips an tricks or known problems would be much appreciated
Engine Stalling
2015 Sportsman 1000, stock tires and clutch. Went out mudding today and got it stuck pretty good. Exhaust was underwater so I kept it barely above idle until it was pulled out. Noticed the clutch was whining a little bit but it went away after a minute or two. Rode through some more water maybe 2 feet deep and was doing wheelies through no problem. Drove back to the trailer which was about 2 minutes away and engine stalled out when I put the brakes on. Got it home and pulled the belt cover off to find a fair amount of mud. Hosed the outside cover off and tried to hose the inside out as well. Started it and ran it to dry belt off. Engine runs fine but lugs and wants to die when in gear and rear wheels are stopped. (Its up on a jack.) The belt has constant tension on it. Seems like the primary is constantly engaged? Thoughts or ideas?
Gas tank insulation
Does anyone have a product recommendation for something they have used to insulate their tank? Also something to rewrap the lines with? I'm getting ready to replace all of my lines and clean the tank so I figured now is a good time to insulate.

Buying a quad for clearing snow off my drive, so came here for opinions on my choice - an Outlander 450 with power steering.
I'm 67 and I ain't shovelling that white stuff any more !
Hopefully I'll also get to ride some trails with my son, too.
What I know about quads you could write on the back of a postage stamp, so hopefully I'll learn a lot here.

I've been ATVing since a kid and have always enjoyed it. I live in upstate NY.
I picked this up about 2 weeks ago. I have only been on one ok ride so far. About 48 miles on it now.
Eventually I want to add a yoshimira exhaust. I have a 20" light bar on order for the front rack. Many other upgrades will come eventually.

Dynojet Auto Tune – Polaris Scrambler 850
Currently own the dynojet power commander auto tune duel channel setup.
This requires two separate O2 sensors.
Looking to only use one of the O2 sensors around the consolidator. Will this work?

Homemade snow plow.
Any of you guys built your own homemade snow plow?
One idea was to connect two metal rods somehow to the rear (one a few inches longer than the other) to a 2X6 and drag it behind me. i realize this won't remove all the snow like a scraper blade but maybe enough to where what's left will melt once the sun hits it.
I guess it might be easier to just mount it to the front.
I have a Subaru so I usually don't have any issues making it up my driveway. My wife's Nissan Cube might struggle. Forget my Chevy van...
She usually stays at home when there is snow on the roads but now that our daughter has started kindergarten, she has to drop her off and pick her up and I work 12 hour shifts and don't get home until 7 PM. Only management bails out early when snow starts to stick to the roads.
Our cheap A$$ county doesn't provide bus service for their elementary schools. They say they can't find enough bus drivers. Well maybe if the county paid more, they might find some.
Here at work we have fabricated an improvised snow plow for a fork truck using a skid, some cardboard and duct tape. Only issue is most fork truck tires are bald so traction was an issue.
I know this sounds like a dumb question but I'm kind of new to ATVs so I've never driven on in the snow. I've owned my Xplorer 300 for about 6 months. I've yet to get this thing stuck even in 2WD even in a muddy creek bed but how well do these things go in say 6" of slushy snow? You know providing the tires are not bald.
I despise winter but sort of looking forward to a good snow storm so I can play around in my ATV and drag my daughter behind me on an inner tube.

My husband and I have a 2012 Outlander 1000 XT & a 2017 Outlander 1000 XMR. We enjoy trail riding, but wish we had more time for it. I look forward to finding some good info in the forums.
2017 XMR 1000R Mudguard flares — included or not?
Hi! I have a 2017 XMR 1000R in triple black. The ATV did not come with mudguard fender flares; however, in looking at the product page on Can-Am's website, I believe they were supposed to be included.
The stock photo depicts the mudguard flares and mudguards are also included in the product features. I called two local Can-Am dealerships and the reps I spoke with indicated that they're *not* included. I spoke with Sarah at BRP customer service and she indicated that the dealers would have more knowledge than BRP.
Does anyone have a definitive answer on whether or not the mudguard flares are supposed to be included?
