I am new to the ATV world.... just finish a top end rebuild on a Trailboss 250 87 ish model.

I also picked up a 2003 sportsman 700 that needs a fair amount of work. I am interested in modding that one to have a bit more power and get up and go.

Hoping to learn a lot here and pick up some ideas and repair questions.

I always enjoy seeing what other folks have done to their machines and the progression along the way. This is going to be my build...... albeit much less impressive than most! lol

I bought it new today. I had put the deposit down last week and went to go pick it up today and got a very nice surprise! Last week when I put down the deposit and ordered up all my accessories... Canam was only offering an additional 2 years warranty on the 2017's. This week however, they increased the warranty to 3 years on the 2017's and the dealership gave me the 3 year warranty instead of the 2 year warranty. Sweeeet!

So far I have the Twin Air filter, the Canam snorkel kit, the Baja Designs LED high-beams through Canam, the foot-peg kit and the heated hand and thumb warmers. These items were all installed at no cost by the dealer.

I've also got a Tigertail and front cargo box I'll be throwing on once I have some spare time. Pics to follow!

I just bought a 2004 Sportsman 600 twin. I attempted to replace the starter solenoid because the machine would only start every 2-3 key turns. After putting the new solenoid in, the atv won't start at all and the solenoid isn't even clicking. I put the old solenoid back on and got the same result. I'm 90% sure I wired the solenoid correctly. What might the problem be?

Anyone can help me troubleshoot my issue.
I have no rear breaks, the foot pedal is soft and the break caliper is not moving. Front breaks are working fine (handle bar).
I checked the pads and all three are 80%. Fluid level is good too.

Bike will not start when in gear. It will only start in Parking or Netural.

So we hit the trails ran fast and hard then when we stopped it (850 Sportsman) would not idle (just stall) i let it cool down for 15min then it was hard starting but once i got it going and running it was fine (higher spesd it was perfect) i dont know whats wrong??

I picked up a set of track for my 6x6. The guy a got them from said there is a spacer that only goes on one axle and longer studs to push them out from the machine. Does anyone know what axle the spacer goes on?

September 23rd is the Buck Run in Tug Hill, NY. It could be a big trek for those that live in lower NY or NJ - BUT there's nothing like this in the Northeast where thousands of riders converge and you can legally ride on many of the roads as well as the 600 miles trails. If you have never been up here, this is a MUST goto event - you won't regret it! As of this date, I have a group going up Friday night, and riding the full day Saturday. The more the merrier. PM me if anyone is interested in joining the group
