325 Magnum Cylinder Head

Does anyone have a 325 or 330 cylinder head off their machine? I have my MOSE with the 330 engine that I can't get to run right. I am afraid I put the 325 head on it rather than the 330 head. There isn't a part number stamped into the casting.

All I can find is a few markings on the bottom side. They are different but I can't tell from them what the head is supposed to go on. From the measurement that I have tried, it appears that the combustion chamber is different between them. I don't have the tools to correctly cc the chamber so I am trying to figure it out another way. Any help would be appreciated!

04 sportsman 500 HO won’t start

I have a 04 sportsman 500 HO that won't start. The battery is new. It won't do anything. I can pull cord start it that's it. After getting it running by pull starting it, lights, winch, instrument cluster won't work. Thanks in advance

2005 700 twin carbed , fan not cycling

Hi ,read through as much as possible on fan not cycling on and off and can not figure out my problem . New thermostat ,no change ,new temp sensor on cylinderhead ,no change , old rad had a bend on bottom so replaced rad and hoses with a good clean rad.new antifreeze .fan cuts in and will not shut off unless i turn the key off and then it shots off .If i disconnect the temp sensor the fan cuts in as it should if i put a little cold water on the old or new sensor the fan will shut off . the machine does not seem to be running hot and i can feel the temp change in the rad and the hoses as the thermostat opens and closes . when i throttle i can see the rad hose neck drop and seems like good circulation . It seems to me that the thermostat is set at a higher temp than the fan so the fan will always run . never checked the resistance the switch but new and old switch are working the same .hot light is not flashing . I can feel the right side of the rad getting hot then cooling off .Any suggestions would be appreciated ,thanks.

heat and splash shield for 2013?

Howdy!

I have a 2013 850. I am sick of the heat blasting my legs and my feet getting sprayed every time I go through a little puddle. I noticed the newer models now have block offs now.

Has anyone made anything for the older models to block the heat and spray?

Registering my ATV with Polaris

I purchased a 2015 Sportsman 570 EPS USED, and need to know how to let Polaris know I own it . Just in case they have a recall or updates available for my machine. Anybody have a idea how this can be done?
Thanks!
Dave

Bearing noise??

16' 850 HL. Getting a vibration/wering (?) sound when on the throttle, gets fairly loud. When I back off the throttle is lessons significantly. Also the odd vibration in the foot well through the peg.

Anyone else experience this?

Thanks!

Oh WOW

I bought a 2003 330 Trail Boss in the spring, paid $1000 for it and other than the front tires needing replaced it was in quite good condition. I put new tires, belt, chain and sprokets, spark plug, all fluids and filter @ $276. What a great trail machine without a big investment. Now a week ago I bought a 2002 Scrambler 500HO 4x4, it took a week of negotiocating (Facebook Market Place) to even get to see it. The asking price was $1350 and I started with a $600 offer that was turned down but was given the bottom price of $1000. We went back and forth with me offering $800 and them considering it and then turning that down. I finaly got a chance to see it and an agreement that we would get together between my $800 offer and their $1000. It was over an hour away so my wife and I made an evening outing out of it and have dinner out. My wife texted them as we ordered letting them know that we would be there after we ate. They texted back letting us know that the machine will not go into gear and is making a noise when shifted into gear. I knew I would be putting chain and sproket because they said it was slipping but now what? Anyway we get there and the battery is dead but it has pull start and pops off the first pull, yet as they said it would not move and it is making this clunking noise. I noticed tire trackes around that matched the machine and I figured their teenage boys got on it and tore it up. We sat on their picnic table and they said they were finished with it and asked me to make an offer. I told them that I researched the machine and saw transmissions at $500-$600 so I offered $500 and it was quickly accepted ( I said to myself, Darn I offered too much). We paid and went on our way thinking we will be buying a transmission or rebuilding one. The next morning srtipped the plastic and power washed the chassi put it in the garage and decided to get the belt off so I could move it around easily. Not surprised what I found, a sreaded belt all tangled behind the clutches.. So sinse I had the old belt off my 330 I tried it, ajusted the chain started it and proceeded to drive it around the yard. Now after chain and sprokets, battery, rear master cylinder, new front tires and all fluids changed and lubed @ $411 I am riding a 500cc machine and "Oh Wow". So dont be afraid of the older machines, there are some bargains.

Oil drain plug dripping

So I changed the fluids on the sportsman and now it's leaking at the drain plug. Any ideas on how to fix this? I took drain plug out and plugged with my finger and checked for the copper washer and it was there. I didn't over tighten it I usually tighten it would the smaller side of the Allen so I don't think I could of over done it. Any ideas? It goes in easily and threads didn't seem messed up.
