Hello to everyone.

I am relatively new to the ATV sport but have owned motorcycles, go carts and fast cars. I purchased a Sportsman 570 late last year but because of an unexpected illness have yet to make any good rides except in the neighborhood.

When you first start your bike, in my case, a 2008 Sportsman 500, is the clicking sound the starter?

#2- does the starter affect the fuel pump? I assume the fuel pump won't work if your starter is fried, is that correct?

We have a 2017 highlifter 1000 and we cannot get this thing to stop over heating. We take rad cover off every ride and clean it religiously. I can see light though the whole thing before every ride. Then e ride 8 hours and it's over heating. Air filter is r2c. Snorkels are extended because grass seeds and trash was getting thrown into snorkels and clogging air filter. I am at a loss of what to do besides get rid of it and buy something different. And yes the rest tail light goes out every other ride too. Tired of changing that thing out too.

Hi. I am new to the boards. Just got a new 570 last month. It has roughly 50 miles on it with 15 hours. Today while riding some mud trails the transmission started giving me issues. When in H the RPMs would shoot up to 4800 and barley get me to 5mph. After about 30 seconds the speed started to steadily increase and RPMs dropped down to 4200. I am thinking there is an issue switching between gears. What can cause this and I am guessing I should just take back to dealership as it's only 2mo old.

So I picked up a 2001 scrambler 500 4x4 project pretty cheap the other day. It's been sitting over a year in a shed, plastics were off and spray painted, etc. I stripped all the plastics, cleaned the carb, installed a new battery and spark plug, as well as fresh gas. The thing runs great, but only if I start it by jumping the starter solenoid with a screw driver... I don't seem to be getting power to my switches (start button doesn't work, lights don't work, etc). Has anyone had this issue before or is it common? I don't even know where to start.... I looked around at the wiring harness and didn't see any obvious damage, however I did find some non plugged in connectors I don't know what they are for... I was going to wire up my own start button and light switch, but I'd rather try and fix the issue before avoiding it. Any help is appreciated!

The wife got her new toy today while I was stuck at work. Dealer had installed a winch and some front and rear stick stoppers. It had a wheel/tire package on it, but we got them to put the stock setup back on. Didn't need a tire as aggressive as they had on it.

She will be the primary user do it shouldn't get driven too crazy. We are looking to add a wheel/tire package to it. Just gotta decide on what to go with. Without lifting the bike, what size tires can I go to. 27's? 28's? I don't want to rob too much power from it.
