Magnum 330 Engine swap, electrical issues

To those of you who have a 03 05 Magnum. I have ordered a factory service manual for my 04 Magnum 330 4x4. Engine had knock-swapped out identical 330 off 05 I think. Where does the lead of the cdi ( not ecm)-black with bullet connector connect to? Had my grounds and ignition coil run correctly. Thought it was connected to stator lead-cant be right ran fine and was charging for 15 minutes and took out ecm. (&^%&*$$!!!) Only way could get it to fire was connected to stator lead off ecm-must not be right otherwise wouldn.t have damaged it-still fires and runs but can only run for 30 seconds starts to overheat cdi. No longer charging, any help would be appreciated.

2009 Sportsman 850 Clutch

I am working on an 09 Sportman 850 and the clutch does not want to disengage. The guy that owns it put a new belt on it and that is dragging and of course makes it almost impossible to shift. On the older machines I have done shims to align the clutches. But the service manual doesn't make any reference to this and the transmission is a a completely different setup. Short of disassembling the clutches what should I be looking for?

HELP with my new Outlander 800xt

Hey guys, im looking for some advice with my new unit, 2015 outlander xt 800.Bare with me please,i'm new to these as i'm coming from a brute force 650 to this. it currently has a new MudnWheels 2.0 rear diff, 27x12x14 zilla tires, radiator relocate, snorkels, new air filter, and a Yoshimira/can am slip on exhaust. I have a buddy selling a PC5 programmer wanting to trade me my outlaw 2 tires that came on the bike when i bought it. its currently mapped for a outlander 1000, is there any one on this forum who can sell or send me a map for my outlander 800 with the pipe? its currently surging a little at idle when cold and will sputter and almost die when cold if you give it throttle to move. if you let it warm up its perfectly fine, seems to me like its lean. Any ideas with this issue? it only has 400 miles on it and i run seafoam to keep it clean. fresh fluids everywhere on the bike also.

Secondly, it is saying key not recognized. If i wiggle the key around itll start just fine. I have a brand new ignition for it here and was wondering what all went into programming it and/or the key to get it to start like it should without having to mess with the key and risk being stranded away from home.
Thanks in advance, i greatly appreciate this forum .

Billet throttle lever 2017 xp 1000

Testing out a billet throttle lever from custom moto out of quebec.
You need a special torx bit to open the drive by wire box

it a tamper proof torx bit, called a ipr15 torx plus bit. It has 5 flutes not 6 like a t15 which is the most common type of torx with 6 flutes and has the hole in middle of bit for the pin that is head of torx screw.

Anybody ever hear of this style bit before ? Couldn't find at any supplier or store in toronto canada. Ordered from a company here called wiha tools and shipped from usa. Was $70 us for a small 7 bit set.
Tried a snap on dealer and gray and they had never heard of it either
now bike up north so wont be able to try lever out till next week

Hello, I am new to this Forum

Hello, I am new here and I really like what I've read already, I have learned quite a bit about my new wheeler already:grin
On July 3rd 2017 I purchased a 2017 Polaris Sportsman XP 1000, I have been doing a lot of research and test driving of different wheelers, I ended up choosing this one because of the comfort is unmatched and power delivery is smooth and very controllable with the 3 position switch (VERY abundant).:devil
I do mostly trail rides and light mudding, some limited technical. I don't get to ride enough, but when I do I don't like to get passed, (hence the 1000). I have only put on 50 or so miles so far, I am looking forward to many more.
I already plan on doing the frame reinforcements that I read about in this forum as well as the stronger front diff cover. I am also on the hunt for a good set of all around tires that have that Bad A$$ look, so any recommendations welcome.
I will try to upload some pictures as soon as I can.

Need help

Just bought an 05 Phoenix 200. The previous owner couldn't get it to run, said maybe bad fuel.
So we drained the tank put a new plug in and new fuel and it started right up. Drove it around for 10 mins and it stalled out, wouldn't start for 20 mins.
Then I replaced the carb, fuel filter, new battery, air filter, carb boot that goes to the air box. Did and oil change.
The machine ran 10 times better, but after about 20 mins of riding it stalled out and backed fired and wouldn't turn back over until after it sat for 20-30 mins and the battery acted dead. Found a short on the started, charged the battery and still wouldn't start after 20 mins of riding. Opened the drain on the carb, still have fuel, pulled the plug and checked for spark, still have spark. So I checked valve clearance, got that adjusted. Still the same issue, but now it will start right back up after it stalls out and idles but as soon as you give it gas it will shut off. I'm very confused on what is causing it to stall out, it's kind of acting like it's over heating, but there's nothing in the way of cooling it down.
Any help would be appreciated, I was thinking of changing out the ignition coil but I don't want to just throw parts at it.
Thanks in advance
