Joining up to gather some information for a Polaris Sportsman 450.
Trying to decide if EPS is really necessary.

Looking to pull logs, plow snow and enjoy in the woods on some trails.

Look forward to learning and purchasing our first ATV.

My 4 x4 will not work.i have replaced fluid basket and rollers and armature plate.my speedo does not work.ive heard that may have something to do with it.any ideas would help .thx

2011 Polaris sportsman touring 850 EPS.

This has been happening off and on for the past couple of seasons, but I’m fed up now.

I was out bird hunting the other day. It’s must've happened at least half a dozen times. I’m driving along, and my bike just randomly loses all power, the engine shuts off dead. So I put it in park, turn the key back on, and It powers up and starts EVERY time.

Not once has this left me stuck, but it dies and comes to a dead stop often enough that I need to fix it now.

I’ve noticed it was happening on sudden up and/or down sections of the trail, conditions were wet and muddy. I’m not sure if that play a role.

I still have the original battery, it was tested recently and is apparently still good. I’ve recently changed the plugs as well. The issue was present prior to that.

Anyone have this happen?. Ideas?:eek

Going to jack up this weekend and check, but I’m wondering if the front axles should rotate in 2wd or only when the 4x4 switch is switched on? Currently they are rotating all the time, and I don’t notice significant torque change when I select 4x4...

Hi there - I've been mostly riding railroad bed trails until a recent trip to Ride Royal Blue in TN... I loved the terrain and want to do more. My machine handled ever bit of the trails but I'd like to add some ground clearance to avoid some rocky boulders that occasionally scraped my undercarriage. What A arm kits and shocks/spring upgrades are suggested that won't throw off geometry, give me a few more inches of clearance, and allow for some larger tires? I'm riding fully stock right now. Thanks in advance!

Will a 2008 Sportman 800 plow fit a 2019 sportsman 500? And how much a used plow worth is a Polaris plow in good shape of the 2008 sportsman 800

Picked up this Aluminium mount that holds a Chain Saw, Bow, Rifle, Ice Drill or any combination of these items at the same time. Built a small mount to adapt it to go into my front or rear 2" receiver in the bumpers.

Little background first: last Polaris was a 2016 570 SP. good rig, just looking for something little more refined.

looking at 2019 850's and dealer has a couple of the 1000's with upgraded tires, bumpers, winch.

$9200 for a white 850 or $11200 for the blue 1000 which prolly has $12-1400 of accessories (tires, winch for sure) a guy would probably buy anyway.

noticed the 1000 has electronic throttle....very nice it seems.

what else does a guy need? trail riding mostly, some in the rocky mountains where it gets pretty rough.

I just picked up my first Polaris atv, it’s a 06 sportsman 700efi. Done some work on it fuel
Pump and regulator , tmap sensor seems to run great , but isles low bout 850 rpms or so after it gets hot. Not sure if it is supposed to do that. But Love this atv so far. Any advice? Is appreciated.
