05 polaris heavy duty springs on 04 sportsman 600?

Front end of my newish to me 2004.5 polaris sportsman 600 needed a bit of work, had a bad ball joint, and the tires were leaning in a bad way.
Figured a couple ball joints, and some heavy duty springs were in order.

In my haste of ordering last minute christmas gifts on amazon I ordered factory polaris heavy rate front springs, instead of the epi springs that were labeled as fitting a 2004.
I've got the front end tore apart right now, and comparing the springs, the new ones are 2" longer then the factory ones.
Are these springs going to work or do I need to send em back? I wouldn't mind a bit of a lift to the bike, I plan on running 26" tires here soon on it, and I'm a very heavy rider at near 400# with my regular gear on board.

If I need to send em back it's no biggie either, I've gotta wait in a cv boot to show up, (accidently tore it when dissasembling), and a couple other odds and ends anyhow.

Thanks for any help!

Jetting

I have a 2008 Polaris outlaw 525s

Running stock everything I’m in Denver so go from 5280-12000ft more in the 5280-8500 range for most part.
I don’t know what was on it before cause I bought it in Pieces I have it back together with stock stuff runs but bogs at throttle..
Had a 138main jet in it I can’t tell what other jets are

What jets do I run?
Anyone at altitude know ? All 3 jet sizes on this bike

And my accelerator pump isn’t spraying on throttle cleaned whole carb r&d floatboul and accelerator pump and new gasket kit why would it not be working

Wheel Offset Question

New here so I apologize if this has been answered before (I did search quite a bit).

I have a 2017 Sportsman XP 1000 base model.

I'm looking at upgrading wheels/tires, and trying to keep it as close to stock as possible, and not much wider than it already is. The dealership told me go 4+3, but through the digging so far, I get the feeling it will change the steering characteristics, increase overall width, and be getting covered in whatever I'm riding through. With the 5+2 I'm concerned with not having the necessary clearance inside.

It has the "body armor" the 16 ga steel tubing around it, so fender flares are not an option. (I'm in the NE so it's dense woods, rocky and swamps; old grizzly 700 plastics would take a beating rubbing up on trees/rocks - it has come in handy)

The setup I'd like:
wheels - Method Racing 405 beadlock wheels which'll be 14x7 for all four
tires- maxxis bighorns 26x9x14 in the front and 26x11x14 in the rear

It's really come down to 4+3 or 5+2?

Thank you in advance for your help. Any and all advice is appreciated.

2019 XMR 570 Lightbar mount to radiator

I just got a 2019 XMR 570, and noticed a couple of screw holes on the side of the radiator which I assume is to mount something. Has anyone had any luck finding a lightbar mount that will fit these holes to mount to the side of the radiator so the lightbar is about middle of the radiator?

Replacement throttle cable end???

<< 2013 Sportsman 500 HO carbed >>

This morning I was replacing the throttle cable…

Of course, new cable does not come with a new end fitting — the little brass barrel that goes in the throttle body. Told self to be careful.

Of course, despite great care, old one fell off and down into the engine area. I have blown that machine out 20 times, carefully swept the shop floor, all the tricks.

I’m pretty sure it went through a portal into the 5th dimension.

Knowing there are 500 different sizes and shapes of throttle cable ends out there, does anybody happen to know the size or where to get one for above machine?

Thanks in advance!

2011 sportsman 500 HO Problems

Hi all, I have a 2011 500 Sportsman HO and have a few problems:
1. RPM not working right, bounces all over(4900-0) on dash cluster, but speed/trip/odometer/hours all seam to work right
2. Doesn't look like battery is charging, checked voltage at battery when running (12.3v). Goin to load test battery at work on Monday.
Looking to get service manual to do more troubleshooting but wanted to throw it out on here.
Thanks for any help.

New Can Am sound bar by MTX

So, I just got done installing this on my 16 Outlander XMR and thought I would throw up a few key points about it in case anyone was considering buying it.
I got it as a birthday gift from my wife since she has heard me mention it before so she was awesome enough to surprise me with it today. First thoughts are as follows:
  • Install instructions are on par with all BRP instructions - complete garbage
  • Mounting system is pretty decent although I did scratch my bars up a bit getting things situated
  • Sound is so so and not what you would expect from a $400 Bluetooth speaker
  • Controls are in a decent location and east to use and actually work well with Pandora on my iPhone
  • Haven't had a chance to ride with it cranked up yet but I don't believe it will be loud enough with a helmet and getting on the throttle with Yoshi exhaust
Overall though I do like it and it will be nice to have some tunes while out riding but I don't think I would recommend it to anyone at the current price tag. You are basically paying for conveniently located controls and the ability to hook it directly up to your battery instead of having to charge a different one. I will update later on once I have a chance to get out and ride with and torture it in the mud.
