Having a problem with my 2017 450 stating in cold weather. The issue I am having is that in cold weather the starter is not engaging. I have to push the start button several times before the starter will engage and crank. Has anyone experienced the same issue? What was the fix? My machine is brand new with only 12 hrs of operation. The warranty is still in effect. My machine is back at the dealership. They will be talking with BRP to see what the fix is. Not confident BRP will have a fix.
Commander to Outlander Engine Swap
Hey guys,
I'm looking into replacing the engine on my 2013 Can Am Outlander 1000XTP.
There is a guy willing to sell me a 1000 engine out of a 2012 Commander for a good price.
Has anyone done this swap and can provide some more information? Thank you!

Misaligned rear tires.
Hello all,
I have a '15 Ace 570 that has it's rear tires out of alignment. Been this way since buying it. Bugging me more since my neighbor bought his 50" Maverick with perfect alignment.
The right rear tire is angled in at the top and toed in. The left rear is not as bad. I've seen others at dealerships and trails that are either better, the same and worse than mine. Wish Polaris had a better handle on the alignment of these frames.
The difference riding the Ace and behind it compared to my Grizzly is noticeable. When riding straight on a gravel type trail or loose dirt. You can plainly see the Ace kicking up debris outwards away from the machine and disturbing whatever your riding on. The Grizzly doesn't hardly leave a mark. Letting off the throttle on each and even moving them around in my garage shows with the incorrect rear tire alignment on the Polaris is def robbing HP (my Ace has a clutch kit to reduce the engine braking). I know the Ace being heavier contributes to this abit.
I noticed the bracket that holds the right rear supension arms is not welded as tight to the frame like the left. I'm know that is not helping. I have pics to show.
My bushings and bearings have no play.
Suspect the only way to correct this rewelding brackets and /or suspension arms?
Anyone else correct there machine?

VIN – Sportsman 500 or 500 HO?
I need to replace my Cam in my 2001 Sportsman 500. How do i determine if I have a 500 or 500 HO. VIN is 4XACH50A21A362362. Searched for a website. No luck. TIA
Strongly considering 2019 HL 850
Hello all.
I currently own a 2018 Can Am Renegade 570 Xmr. I'm looking for something bigger, but for mostly mud riding.
I'm concerned about no power steering offered on the 850, and it may be a deal breaker. It's even more of a concern given the machine's size and tires.
Secondly, I've read around about a pretty low top speed. I believe this is due to a hefty gear reduction on High. I get it's a mud quad, but even my 570 will to 100km/h. Why have such a significant gear reduction on high gear? I assume this can be changed?
It's a nice looking machine, but it will be a big purchase, so naturally, I'm going to gain as much information as possible to ensure it will be suitable.
Do these ATVs still have a pinion issue in 2019?
I'd be looking for, at best, a 5 year warranty. At least 2. Right from the dealer I'd have it outfitted with the following:
Heated grips, thumb
Winch
Mud strap
Hand guards
Front bumper from HL 1000
Any advice and/or information is appreciated!

battery not holding a charge
Hello
I have a 2016 450 HO sportsman that will not hold a charge. Have installed a disconnect switch as a band aid with a battery maintenance charger. Looking to see if anyone has had a relay that has been found stuck or other situation that they have found to crate a constant power draw on the battery. No winch is on the machine or other powered equipment. Machine is a straight factory wired unit.

New tire/wheel offset
Hey guys, new to the site and I bought a 2019 Sportsman 570 X2 yesterday. I purchased a set of Polaris rims and tires for it, rims are 14” aluminum and tires are the 26” pro armor attacks. I am not sure how determine offset, but it looks it is wrong to me, the rear tires stick out about 4” past the fenders on each side. I have not ridden the machine off road yet, but looks like it would cover you in dirt. Looking for some opinions from you gurus...see pic that I shot from a birds eye view.
Blown Front Diff
2015 Sportsman 1000XP. Front diff blew and needs to be rebuilt. Does the EPS need to be loosed in order to "unseat" it front the top of the differential? Ive got both axles off, drive line is off, bottom mounting bolts are out, as well as the bolts for the plate that holds the steering shaft in place. What else needs to come off in order to get the diff out?
