Hi looking for some feedback on Empire slip on exhaust for a Outlander 1000r . I am trying to decide between Yoshimura and an Empire slip on , This would be a single slip on not the dual . I have searched for a few days for a sound clip of a Empire and have had no luck ? I like that Empire has a simple quiet core to install and remove same with just spark arrestor . Any feed back would be great ! :smile
CVT exhaust question
Hey gents,
So I kept noticing that the snorkel kits have three tubes. Air intake, CVT intake and CVT exhaust. However my ‘18 Rene XMR 1000 has two...Air intake and CVT intake. It appears the CVT exhaust runs up near the top of the dash cover and then bends down towards the top of the suspension. Curious as to why it doesn’t vent out the top, making it truly water proof to the snorkel. Anyone care to comment on this and if anyone has remedied the issue?

So I replaced the belt with a g-force belt and am following the break in procedure , still not seeing much difference in snappy take off , buffed the surfaces of both clutches and cleaned all casings . I do see that the primary clutch spring is yellow . Just wondering if this is a stock spring or is this causing my problem . Previous owner has clutched it up maby ?
Seperated the primary
My first post here, I bought a new max xt 850 in 2016. I've done all my own servicing from day one, which has been fine. I'm pretty anal and know tools, so not much deters me from fixing stuff myself.
I have 3000km on my machine. I've just replaced all fluids, checked the valve slack, replaced brake pads, lubed the one way and replaced the belt.
When I pulled the primary I had a brain fart and seperated the halves to clean it up and didn't mark it before hand.
I put it back on with just a guess and using some markered numbers from the factory.
Am I gonna be in for a surprise if I try to run it?
