Does anyone run those tires?

They look decent for trail riding because they offer good traction at the rear with good steering at the front.
Would be used mostly for hardpack/gravel roads.

Regarding the bighorns, I,ve heard they run true to size so a 26'' should be fine?
In 12'' which I use they are 26x11 and 26x9, shouldn't have any issues with rubbing?

I'm mostly looking for a decent hardpack/gravel/rocky dirt trail tire, I already have mega mayhems for more mud/offroad and I'll just have 2 sets of tires mounted on rims and switch as needed depending on the terrain.

does anyone have a manual lift plow system installed and is it even possible, i haven’t seen one... kinda tight on money at the moment and unexpectedly need to get a plow for the quad. i’ve seen a lot of used cycle country plows for sale cheap with the manual lift... seems like buying a used plow setup and a new mount specific to the machine i could stay around $250 versus the polaris setup with a winch for $1000.... the decision is further complicated by the fact that i may trade the machine in for a ranger in the spring so id rather do the plow setup on the cheap

Hey all.

Trying to wire a cheap winch on a 2018 sportsman. It only has the positive and negative leads that are supposed to connect from the box to the battery. Can i use a connector to run the positive to the orange ignition hot lead and the other to the battery?

I trying to replace the front wheel berings but the bering will not go in far enough. Any thoughts !!!

So have am having an ongoing problem with overheating. Went to take the thermostat out and do a bypass. Thought I should check the waterpump while I was at it. Took off the cover and all looked ok. Figured I'd start it up and see if it turned. It did not. It will spin by hand but not by the motor running. I'm figuring that it is either a go or no go gig. Am I wrong here? If not Crap, is this as big a job as I think it is?

A friend brought me what I believe to be a 2001 DS650 to work on. It doesn't run now. Says he had a cousin rebuild the carb and now it has no spark. Problem is the repair manual he brought is for a 2004 model. Are they the same or similar enough between the years or do I need to find a 2001 specific manual?

Any help would be appreciated!

1. here is the procedure to get any saved Fault Codes in your ECU.
Engine NOT running

1. turn key to lights on position
2. use Mode button and scroll to engine hour (EH) on gauge,
3. then press and HOLD the mode button while quickly toggling between high and low beam
(min 3 toggles (or more) in 2 seconds)
4. If there are any P-CODES they will be displayed..down below, scrolling Rt to Left.

2. a REMINDER from the Shop Manual: (fuel injection models)

"the IDLE SPEED IS NOT ADJUSTABLE". The ECM controls the idle speed of the engine..
NEVER ATTEMPT TO ADJUST THE SEALED IDLE STOP SCREW set at the factory.
If the adjustment is changed, the throttle body must be replaced"

Which oil change kit is used for the Polaris Sportsman 2015-2018 ? Item # 2877473 or Item # 2202166. One kit has a longer oil filter than the other kit.
Dealer gave me kit for long filter, Polaris web site says to use other kit ?

Down right depressing. Luckly it happened on the last day.Up to that point we had 300+ miles in
Blew up down at H&M.Running at @ 40=45 mph. NO light no warning just blew out both sides. Unfortunately the guy in back didn't have a gopro ,Would have been good footage with Flames blowing out the right side.Blew the starter off also
2015 850 @1400 miles.Anyone have any ballpark numbers what this will run in repairs and labor?

Hi there, new to the forum, and forums in general. I have a 1999 polaris xplorer 400 4x4. 2 stroke with the mikuni vm34ss carb. I have ordered a mikuni vm34-168 carb and I am not finding any information on if that will be a plug and play or not. I know the jetting is all a little different. My question is: can I run that carb without swapping main jet etc and just adjust to work or do I have to swap everything? I know the main jet was 210 on stock and 260 on the new one. 35 both pilots and 2.5 to the stock 1.5.... if someone has already done this please let me know what you did. I was going to rebuild the stock one but most of the parts are worn (like a failed rebuild from previous owner). The machine has 386 hrs and around 2500 miles. Most things work except the speedo and AWD engagement. Thank you for any and all info on this. Looking forward to getting it going again
