2005 800 sportsman rear prop shaft question

Anyone else with this year 800 sportsman ever change there rear prop shaft u joints and yoke? I twisted a u joint so banged the role pin out (front yoke of rear drive shaft) than took the broken u joint out than tried everything to slid the rear yoke off that’s connected to my rear diff shaft. It has role pin hole on the yoke but there’s no pin on the diffs drive shaft I just see splines??? Am I missing something or what! No amount of prying or penetrating oil does anything! So frustrating

2018.. WHATS THE best battery for my 850?

searched and alot of old info.

I have an 850 EXP the power steering was eliminated by shop before
i purchased it. failed and owner didn't replace or repair.

I use the machine for SNOW PLOWING only and an occasional ride
to the mail box. The battery is about 4 years since I have had it
and last season even though kept on the battery tender all the time
plowing I would loose power normally at night after an hour or so.
We didn't get much snow last year so I didn't plow much.

Need to put a new one in this season and need to know whats
the best thing to replace it with. I am also going to put in a
SMALL fuse block so to get all the wires off the battery. I don't have
any added lights at all. just the winch and battery tender. I would like
to add some LED lights but with my current loss of power I don't want
to do that till i replace the battery.

not much room up under that front and just want the best battery
that you can suggest to me that you have experience with. Cant
trust reviews on amazon lol.

1995 425 Magnum

Good morning, I’m new to the site and tried searching this issue with little luck...hopefully someone will be able to chime in and give me a little advice. I have a friend who has a 95 magnum 425...let me stop here to note that I just recently had to teach him how to generate an email...it goes without saying that searching these forums is a little above his level...recently he noticed he had bad bearings in his axle carrier and tried replacing them only to find the new bearings would just “fall in and out” (his words)...he noticed that the old bearings apparently have worn out the aluminum carrier housing...we have tried checking local, and even a couple national, polaris salvage yards...and talked to the dealers...no luck...we are now considering swapping in a different axle (he is a certified welder so moving mounts won’t be an issue) just looking for some thoughts or advice...thank you in advance

Rear diff full of sludge

Seems like every time I go out and ride (in mud and water) I drain my rear diff and it looks like a grey pasty sludge. No noticeable signs of cracking in the diff and no known holes in my vent tube. Figured it could be the axle seals but both are dry. Somewhere water is getting in but not leaking out.

Anyone have any ideas?
