OEM Hardware worth it?

Hello All,

I have to order bolt, washer and lock nut. To put back together my fender. When I removed the old ones they were not in great condition, so I scrapped them not thinking it would be much for hardware. I went to order and they are pricey. Must take 10 per pack. bolt 3.19each washer 1.19 each nut 3.59 each total damage: $80.00

I was thinking of ordering Carbon Steel, Black Oxide Finish from amazon. Am I being cheap and this will not work or do you think this is the same as the OEM. They are Black Oxide, so it will help with the rust. I don't think the OEM hardware is stainless steel with a black finish, but it would makes sense at these prices.

Keeping crap out of radiator

My 01 Sportsman 500HO, I presume due to my area, tends to accumulate crap in front of the screen in front of the radiator. Is there an easy way to clear that in the field?

I was thinking maybe i needed to add one in front of the grill?

The other thing is my radiator was packed full of seed heads, like off a dandelion because you know, I forge trails thru whatever. It was so bad, I had to get a pressure washer after it to clear it all. A hose wouldn't get it done.

Getting to it was fun........... Not to mention dealing with 2 rusted and stripped star bolts.

2017 sportsman xp 1000 died when hot

I was hauling wood and it wasn’t overheating bouncing from 83 - 98 Celsius as the fan cut in , I stopped and spent a few mins fixing my road and it died. Took a few mins and it finally restarted, stalled 2 more times on the way out.After it cooled off seems to have lots of power and work fine . Could the fuel be getting hot and making it stall ? It was really hot in the trunk and front compartment. Should I worry about a fuel pump or is this a case of it too hot inside the plastics?

2015 Polaris 570 EFI EPS Sportsman Fuel Pump Issues

Need Help! I’m on my 3rd Fuel Pump. Pump 2 lasted 5 hours, pump 3, 1 hour. Pump 3 is coming on but not pumping any gas. The battery had low voltage. Could that be an issue? Will that effect the Fuel pump from sending fuel?
I charged the battery and still wouldn’t start. Then this morning after turning over multiple times, it started up. Very confused. Any help would be appreciated.

How to test the “On Demand” front wheels drive Xplorer 250

For those of you that have been following my post- you know that I am slowly breathing life into a hand me down Xplorer 250 I got to thinking is there a simple way to test if the automatic AWD works? Can I simply put the whole unit up on block and start it with the electric switch in the "on" position, put it in gear will the front wheels turn then?

ATV GPS Recommendations??

I would like to get a GPS package that has a decent screen size (for these old eyes!!), able to load New Hampshire maps, and preferably waterproof. There seem to be several choices, some with pretty high prices - but do you really get more if you pay more?? I'll pay the price if it's REALLY worth it - but I would prefer to have someone who actually owns one of high dollar units say so....

What do you folks recommend?
