I was ridin across the a feild at about 50 mph in 4wd there was about a foot of powdery snow and then i came to a stop turned around and drove over to the road about 50 yards away and then i got off because my dog was following me and then got back on about 1-2 mins later and then it felt like the belt was slipping it was very slow take off and i only went like 7 mph on my way back to the house and i parked it in the garage it has 925 miles and 70 hours what u guys think it could be i thought the cvt might have got water in it from the snow some how and made the belt slip but it wiuld seem un likely for it to be able to get in

Noob 2018 Outlander 450

Just picked up my first ATV, an Outlander 450 from Ride Now of Concord, NC. I'm out of Concord, NC. I'll be looking for some trails to ride in the spring time, and have a toy hauler for weekend trips as well. Haven't really messed with any offroad stuff since college when we built SAE Mini Baja cars (2005/2006) so I'm looking forward to getting back into the swing of things.

Sportsman 500 Shock shaft won’t rise.

On my 1998 SP500, the front end sagged 2-3" with the plow lifted and decided to put spring spacers in to see if it helped. I put it back together for the storm today and they work great! I have about 1/2" sag with plow up now vs the 2-3" with no return to unloaded height.
However, when I had the front springs off, both shock shafts do not return to the top on their own. Can these be rebuilt or what would the most economical option be? I mostly trail ride and some utility work with it.
Are there replacements from parts stores that I could get a number to interchange that would be a cheaper option?

Thanks so much!
Isaiah

Rvs clutch kit install questions

I recently picked up an RVS clutch kit for my 2017 sportsman 570 that I am getting ready to install and I had a few questions. What tools will be necessary for my install? I watched a few videos and understand the process, but I don't want to buy any more tools than I need to since this is prolly the only time I will use them. Can I install the primary clutch spring, shims, and weights without removing the primary clutch from the machine? And is there a trick for checking the clutch alignments while I am in there? I hear about the clutch alignment needing to be shimmed sometimes and I would like to check mine. I welcome any and all tips, tricks and advice before I tear into it. Thanks

EPS Issues

Gents,

I have an issue with my EPS. As soon as I turn the ignition on, the EPS starts wigging out. It just sits and chatters until I grab the handle bars. Once I let go, it starts again. The relay up by the steering column was corroded so I replaced it, but it didn't make a difference. Any help is appreciated.

The atv is a 2011 Polaris 850 XP. Here is a video of what it's doing.
Thanks
Jason

Problems / Solutions Sportsman 500

So bought a 2011 500 ho carbed; a pretty basic model but tried and true; has more power than most will ever use and has off road capabilities beyond what most will use 95% of the time ... then theres the other 5% ...lol. So

Question is; with out mods it would be helpful to post problems you've had and I'll try to make a list below for all to future reference; ie I've hear at one point Below #1; (don't know if this is 100% true; but an example).

Problem; Year; Model; Solution; Cost

1- suspension bushings - were warring out prematurely with rougher riding; all years; all polarises; solution to install aftermarket bushing package $50.

2- Carb Problem - jet warren or carb fouled by ? 09 Sortsman 500 ho; replace carb needle & seat & jets; didn't fix; replaced carb in the end solved problem; $600 later.

2017 Polaris Sportsman 850 SP blown pinion cover

My 2017 Polaris Sportsman 850 SP only has 800kms and the front pinion cover is blown right out of the diff.. and wrecked the pinion gear and diff casing.. running stock tires and everything else is stock. I see on the website that these 850's now have a whole front replacement differential, instead of running diff #1333570 the new diff part is now #1333965 but I don't see a recall. Machine is still under warranty will this be covered? Has anyone else had this problem?
