Which LED Light Bar??

RE: 2017 Sportsman XP 1000

Need some advice as I am wading into unknown waters.

Recently, out of the Polaris and decided that the next upgrade will be a LED Light Bar or 2 Light Pods.....which I plan on mounting on the brush guard.

So my first question, is there a preference between one bar light vs. two pod lights.

Second, is how many lumens should I be looking at. The initial research shows not only various prices; but lumens ranging from 1,000 - 6,000 lumens. Is there a sweet spot there I should be satisfied with?

Any recommendations, are appreciated......this is all Greek to me as of tonight.

Thanks, Semper Fi!

New Owner Here

Hi All,

New to the site. My current ride is an '09 Rincon, but I just placed a deposit on a Renegade. I'm picking it up in a couple of weeks. Can't wait!! I've been dreaming of this machine for over 5 years now.

I'll bump around on current topics to see if there's any immediate must know info. Like someone told me to wrap the exhaust pipe. I want to see if that's really needed. Someone else suggested wheel spacers which I really don't want to do. Although I am changing out the tires day 1 for 26" Bighorn 2.0s. Love those tires.

Any advice or recommendations, PLMK.

Lug pattern

I have a 2002 Expedition 425. I want to purchase new wheels but i do not know the correct pattern. When i go on alot of websites they dont even have the polaris expedition listed so i want to know what other polaris model has the same pattern as my expedition so i can just look for those. Thank you for any help

wheel offset

Can someone please explain "wheel offset" i am planning on buying new tires or my 02 expedition. Mine are stock and beat. I want to purchase a larger tire any reccommendations on where to buy and what is this offset all about?

Bigger tires

Can i install bigger tires and wheel if needed without screwing anything up with the AWD and gearin ratios? Im looking for more ground clearance and also a lift kit something small for the lift kit around 2" any reccommendations

Synthetic chaincase oil

I'm looking for a trans/rear diff fluid alternative I've read that synthetic chaincase oil is what I need but it seems amsoil is the same price as polaris fluid. I'm wondering if this bel ray fluid is synthetic and if anyone has run it. Bel-ray Primary Chaincase Lubricant

1995 Trail Boss 250 PLEASE HELP!

Got a new rebuild kit today. Rebuilt the carb. Still garbage. What gives? Bogging like crazy... I tried everything possible. Only way I can get it to half way idle and run is by loosening the lock nut on throttle and turning screw to where it picks up slide. I'm no mechanic but can someone help? I've got a new float arm and pin on way, not sure if that will help either.

570 Front pinion shaft seal leak and groove

My 2014 570’s pinion shaft has a groove in it and I have heard people talking about pressing a bushing onto the shaft and purchasing a different seal size. Has anyone done this? Also what brand and part numbers were used in this situation?

Thanks

2018 Can-Am Maverick X3 900 HO vs. Polaris RZR XP 1000: By the Numbers

We wanted to see how the new 2018 Can-Am Maverick X3 900 stacks up against the Polaris RZR XP 1000.

It seems that about every week, one of the manufacturers reveals another new model. I’m not complaining, mind you. I love it, and I’m sure you do too. Can-Am has been on fire lately with a pile of new models, the most recent being the somewhat quiet addition of the new Can-Am Maverick X3 900 HO, a slightly more budget-friendly version of its top-shelf performance UTV. The whole purpose of these By the Numbers articles is to answer the common question people have – how does machine A compare to Machine B. In the case of the new X3 900, the closest machine from a competitor is the Polaris RZR XP 1000. Why not the RZR 900? Keep reading and you’ll see.
