95 polaris magnum 425 oil in airbox

New to forum recently bought a polaris 425 had some issues have repaired got running after messing with carb so drove around plenty of power no issues no smoke no lag idling great. Reinstalled the airbox jumped on rode around absolutly no power sputtering pulled in shop looked in airbox thinking a blockage was there and found almost a quart of oil inside seen online sportsmans 500-850 got a revised PCV and valve cover replacement flawed design i guess. Anyway is there a similar fix for mine? Could someone steer me to a fix? Parts guy said a part# 3086810 one way valve is the only thing he could think of.

roll cage removal

I bought a 2016 Commander Max 1000 4 seater and will need to haul it home. Uhaul box trailers only have a 5'5" height. Is the roll cage two-piece and if yes, can the upper half be removed easily?

(Uhaul doesn't allow one-way of their open trailers large enough to haul the unit. I can get a local Uhaul open trailer and use it round trip but I'd rather not if I have an alternative. Hence my question.)

Thx.

2017 Outlander 570, noise in front end

i was riding my wheeler around the yard, small creek crossing, and overall just riding around nothing to crazy, towards the end of my ride i noticed a rotational metal noise in the front, i think its coming from the left front, i powerwashed it all down just making sure it wasnt mud or rock contacting somewhere, noise still there after the wash, shook the front wheels down no play, the noise is most noticeable in 4 wheel drive and making sharp left turns while moving, pretty much doing a small circle, only turning left, when doing the same turning right it doesnt make any noise, while moving the front halfshafts back and forth, the left front does have more travel than the right hand side, just curious if anyone has had a similar concern and maybe the splines on the left front halfshaft may be messed up, i have no removed the shaft to look at the splines, any suggestions would help thanks

Surging Issue

Hello All:

I am new to this forum and in desperate need of assistance. I currently own a 2013 XMR 1000 with a HMF Slip On Exhaust pipe. There are no other mods done to the bike except for this. I am in hopes that some of you have had this problem and will be able to assist. So here we go:

I was just about to sell my bike when I took it for it quick ride to make sure that everything was sound and in order. As I am riding down the rode, I started to experience power loss and surging. I brought the bike home and cancelled the sale until it is fixed.

I took the bike to a local shop (Jax Powersports) to only find out after they ran a diagnostic test it was a bad ECU. This left me confused as I only have about 62 hrs and 315 miles on the bike. They were going to charge me a little over a grand to fix so, I took it upon myself to purchase the ECU and replaced. I took it back to the shop and they re-programmed it to match the bike to only STILL have the same issue. They then were going to try and have me pay for another diag and I proceeded to pack it up go home. I then went home and plugged the old ECU due to the new one was programmed at a very high idle and it was sticking at 3500 rpm.

I have done the following to try and troubleshoot.

  1. Drained the fuel
  2. Replaced both spark plugs
  3. Replaced Throttle Position Sensor
  4. Replaced Idle Controller
I am at a loss of ideas at this point and need help from someone who knows what the heck they are talking about.

Thanks in advance!

Rear Trailing Arm Question – Gen 2

We are changing out a damaged trailing arm on my brothers 2013 Canam 1000 Outty XT. I know the lower bearing where the rear axle goes to the wheels needs to be pressed in but what about all the internal components in the top circled section of the diagram? There are 4 smaller bearings in there according to the Canam schematics..... are they all press-fitted in there as well or can they be removed/installed without the use of a press or vise? I'm going to be getting the dealership to install all the pressed-in parts and that is why I am asking.

Stripped oil drain plug, how to fix? 2012 Sportsman 850

Well my fears came true, how do I fix a stripped oil drain? Has anyone rethread it and used a bigger plug? any help would be appreciated!

The screw just keeps spinning, I was dripping oil a couple years ago out of the bolt and I can gave it an extra crank, guessing that is when it happened, but it held oil just fine the last 2 years... It came out tight and went back in tight, but it just keeps spinning now.
