Sorry for another skid plate thread, but I've done a ton a research and have it narrowed down to brp plastic or ricochet aluminum skid. Most of the threads I found are a little older, so wondering on the newer g2s are the brp full skid improved? I like the idea of plastic and look better but ricochet seems to be liked by everyone, and it seems gen1 brp skids weren't liked all that much. Thanks
2018 X3 maxx XRS limp mode
Hey all,
We purchased this about 1 month ago and we have 420 miles on it. Yesterday we went on a 26 mile trip and while accelerating the drive belt exploded. Of course I didn?t have a spare. My buddy was at camp and went to a store and bout me two so I now have a spare.
Anyway, I was crusing along after the belt change to break in the new belt not going over 40. All of a sudden I looked down and the engine light is on and it is in limp mode. I stopped check oil, air filter, wiring etc. and everything seems fine. I started it and we were on our way. The engine light cleared and then came on a few minutes later and we were back in limp mode.
I checked the engine codes and it says there are none stored. I am taking it to dealer on Thursday i hope they can fix it. I will keep you updated. Rant over

G1 2008 Outlander miss in and out
Hey fellas,
I'm puzzled with this one, I have a 2008 Outlander 650 at. Bike worked great till the other day when I went out for a ride. Basically anything over half throttle and 42mph or so it misses and almost dies at times. Here's what I did so far, changed plugs, new coil, new fuel pump and filter and still nothing so I checked the timing cause there known to jump from time to time but all is good! So my question is does anyone have any more idea on what it could be? Also there is no p codes showing.

Exhaust system hmf or big gun
Wondering if anyone has any input on the hmf or big gun exhausts for the 570. If like a deeper tone then the factory I know it's not going to be a performan gain just want it to sound meaner. I'm not a fan of the exhaust mod because from what I can tell it only hinders your performance once it's under water and I don't want that. I'm also curious as to how they run without a tune the only person I see tuning them is rvs and I can't get a reply in here from ryan.
1995 Trail Boss running issues
I've went from rebuilt carb, new plug, pull carb on and off to clean several times. I have been able to get it running but eventually problems arise hard to start, bad idle, flooding etc.... here is where I am now.
I can start it but immediately it starts to wanna flood out. If I hit throttle it just bogs it down. Any ideas?

Looking at clutch improvement.
I have been reading up on clutch kits and complete clutch units.
I have done clutching on snowmobiles and had big improvements.
I have a 2017 650XT. I am not going mudding or racing. I'm riding trails with hills and and puddles.
I've been looking at the EPI and Dalton kits.
I'm also going to plug in a Dobeck EJK as soon as my warranty is up.
Any advice on your experience will be appreciated.

I just purchased my first ATV.
A 2017 650XT.
We move to the north woods of Minnesota and our new property is in the middle of the trail system.
I'm a service technician at a domestic car dealership.
I'm here to learn and share with everyone.

Front diff drain plug leaking
Good morning all, need some help from the community.
Did full service on the bike all fluids etc.
I’ve got a drip out the front diff drain plug now. Pulled the plug and looks like the first three threads in the diff have stripped out. Drain plug won’t seal right now. Anyone know of a thread repair kit that’s an easy install? I’ve got a helicoil repair kit but way too big not too psyched on drilling a half inch hole in the bottom of my diff.
Thanks for any help provided
