2000 Polaris Explorer 250 electrical problems

Hello,
I have a 2000 polaris explorer 250 2 stroke. The lights and starter went dead and a clicking clicking sound started coming from the circuit breaker that has a rubber boot covering it to the left of the solenoid. It clicks intermittently. I checked all of the wires and put in a new battery and key ignition, still the same. I noticed that the key ignition was heating up a little, even before I got the new ignition and after. I noticed that 2 wires on the key ignition were heated up and blackened a little. I cleaned them up and they seem O.K. I am not sure if it is the left handlebar switch ( mine looks like it is in real good shape it was outside alot though I did open it up a little bit and sprayed cleaner and air hosed it off.) or if it is the circuit breaker with the boot on it that keeps clicking. Some say if it clicks it is O.K. and some say it could still be bad. I can pull start it O.K. and it will start.I also jumped the solenoid and the starter works fine. Also a few times when I was messing with it everything came back to life and then went dead again. I just want to get an experts opinion before I but the left handlebar switch just in case it is something else. Can the circuit breaker be bad when it clicks? I would appreciate it for any output. Do I have to have a paid subscription to get an answer from you or can I get the message on this site. You can go to twobefrank@yahoo.com or call 4134640721.Thank you very much. Frank Sibolski

Left switch loose for headlight

I just picked up a 2001 trailblazer 250. Everything on the left handlebar switch works good, except the headlight switch. It works, but is so loose that when you hit a bump, it turns on or off. Has anyone had this problem? Is there a way to take it apart and repair it?

Check Engine Light on but cannot access DIAGCODE

Hello,
I am new to owning a four wheeler and new to these boards. I have a 2017 Polaris Sportsman 850 SP. It has about 16 engine hours on it. Recently the check engine light came on and I tried to follow the manual to access the diagnostic codes, however, it does not appear as an option. Maybe I am doing something wrong or don't understand the manual somehow. I have turned the key to the on position. The check engine light stays on. I then go into options and scroll to look for DIAGCODE. However, it does not appear, so I cannot read the code to know what I am dealing with. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.

2005 Polaris ATP – No Spark

Hello!

I have a 2005 Polaris 500 ATP with no spark and no electrical(headlights, speedo, anything). If you jump the solenoid it attempts to turn over but there is still no spark. We have checked the wiring and aren?t able to find any shorts or bad grounds. New spark plug. Coil and stator appear fine. Thinking it may be the ecm. Unfortunately this model did not qualify for the ecm recalls for 2005s. Parts # on the ECM is 4011085. Is there a better way to test the ECM? Or any other thoughts as to what the problem could be? It looks like it?s a $400+ dollar part so I hate to shell out for that without knowing for sure if it will fix it.
