Properly wiring winch/remote on 17 outlander 570 (G2L)

Im new to the game.. Nearly have this complete but want to make sure im doing everything right before i put power to it. The instructions provided for can am accessories are not for the novice

1. For the remote, the two rubber covered wires connect to the same wires on solenoid. But for the black wire, presumably ground, is this connected to ground(which i grounded to frame) or does it connect to positive? Based on the poor instructions it could go either way and i know nothing about wiring.

2. The only wire provided to run to battery was a positive red wire. The instructions mention nothing about running a neutral wire to other battery post but some other atv/winch setups require it. Am i good with just the one wire?

thanks fellas

Wheel offset 570 sportsman

2017 sportsman 570. I have a set of
27" executioners that I want to install on the quad. I'm not sure what wheel I need.
27x10x12 fronts I read 4+3 will work.
27x12x12 I'm not sure what will work. I'm assuming a 7" wheel is to narrow. What width and offset will fit with these tires?

My first ATV

Hey guys. Bought my first atv and after a lot a research I went with the 17' Outlander 570. Love it! Looking forward to learning from the vets on how to ride and how work on/upgrade it.

Clutch lock up mod

New to the Canam. Hear lots about their clutching being no good. Haven?t had an issue with my xmr 850 with the dalton kit.

My question is is the clutch lock up mod still a thing? Seems like a good upgrade but there?s not talk about it after like 2015 lol.

Thanks

Front half shafts separating from front gearcase possibly?

First time poster and excited to be apart of the forum.

Recently i purchased a 2007 sportsman 800 EFI Twin. This past weekend I took a trip and when I got back I noticed some space between the inner most parts of the two front half shafts. The spacing can be seen in the attached pictures. They are very similar on both sides of the front gearcase. I just wasn't sure if this was normal. And was looking for some insight...

Thank you.

Polaris (Was told 1994) 400 explorer does not keep 4×4 engaged in reverse

We bought an older Polaris 400 from a guy on craigslist. He told us it was 1994 but didnt have any paperwork with it so he wasnt sure.

We test drove it up and down some of the paths we have. We checked that the 4x4 worked...it did (in forward but we didnt think to check in reverse).

Any way we got a plow for it to do our driveway and some of our private road. It really flies down the road even pushing 6" of snow. The issue was when i pushed the snow into a pile and tried to back up...i just started spinning.

We got it back to the garage, jacked up the front end and took a look at it.

From what I can tell, the CV shafts are always powered, and the hubs only engage when you push the (on demand) 4x4 button. The hubs lick almost immediately for forward. When we try to shift into reverse from FWD or N in high, the front wheels do not continue to turn. Even if we put it in reverse then engage the 4x4 the front hubs do not engage.

can anybody offer any suggestions?

Gear Indicator issues

Hey guys, I've got an 06 outlander 800 that I just purchased used and I'm having issues with the display not showing neutral. It sometimes flashes (N) but usually shows (H) or (R) even though the transmission is definitly in neutral. I've cleaned all 4 gearbox connector forks and the problem is still there. It's pretty annoying to have to hold the brake every time I want to start it. Speed sensor had a decent amount of shavings on it when I cleaned that as well so wondered if the three gear positioning sensors on the gearbox can be removed as well and cleaned? Maybe they got shavings on them as well? Any input would be great as I'm stumped. Thanks
