Hi folks, I have been given an atv, a 99/2000 Polaris Xpedition 325 4x4. It's in pretty good shape and does run well when the carb is cleaned. I hope to learn some things about this machine here as I've never owned one before. I need to find a manual on it, service and repair ones. E-bay has a few as well as carb rebuild kits. It hasn't had any good maintenance at all done over the years. Anyway, I hope to enjoy it. BTW, at times I have a hard time staying connected to the site. I'm using Firefox and I don't have problems on any of my other sites. Just haven't found out what is keeping me from connecting at times.

2002 Sportsman 700 twin-sputters and dies in gear
Hello - first time poster here. I have a 2002 Sportsman 700 twin that has about 3k miles on it and I've had it for just over a year now. I bought it for plowing and a little bit of hunting usage mixed in - so I don't use it a lot. This summer I have been starting it every couple weeks and riding it a few miles to make sure everything is still working and battery is in good shape. Well now of course that the snow season is near, the thing has been giving me issues. It will start and idle just fine, but when I throw it into gear and start driving, it starts to sputter and dies. I can keep it running if I pin the throttle and keep feathering the throttle and give it a lot of gas. I'm thinking it might be a failing needle float valve in the carb. I'm going to get a carb kit and hope that fixes it. Do you think I am on the right track?
4wd, lights, and cig lighter all not working
2016 outlander L 570 xmr. The 4wd will not engage and also the lights and cigarette lighter are not working. Thanks in advance.
Sportsman 570, 29.5?
Trying to get back into the sport and currently debating between a side by side or two ATVs. It comes down to price.
Basically I am worried the 570 won't be enough for me, my last ATV was a Brute Force 750 which I sold in 2012. It will primarily be a mud machine with 29.5s, do you guys think it'll turn them easily if I changed the clutches. Not a lot of information on these little engines that I can find. I'd much rather have an 850 / 570 for wife but then I'm getting into the pricing of a side by side.
Thanks in advance!

Are the low range and high range on the output shaft? Would it be possible to get rid of the gear reduction in just the High range?
2012 max 650 Low power
I just bought a 2012 650 max xt with a whole 23 miles on it. I brought it home Monday and it ran great, put about 5 miles on it and was very impressed with it. I went to take it out tonight and it is only running about half power, low rpms when wide open and can only max out about 20 mph. It doesn’t idle great, likes to stall but will start right back up. I siphoned all the old gas out and put new gas in, no change. I do t really have much time to work on it and will probably take it in for service, but looking for thoughts. Thinking fuel pump or filter? It’s lived in a climate control garage it’s whole life and has never left the prior owners yard. It looks like it just came out of the crate.
