Shocks?

Has anyone done new shocks or replaced their stock ones? I cranked mine up from day 1 for the added lift but now 2 years later the ride is beginning to become a little rougher on hard pack. I saw FOX sells aftermarket shocks but they're $1,000+ for 2 and thats a little steep for me.

$6000 repair bill on a 16 outlander 650

Hey guys new to the forum , I got a 2016 Can am outlander 650 max xt after 2400 kms turns out the transmission and rear differential needs to be replaced, fortunately it?s covered under warranty but holy fuck! I?m an assertive rider, I never would of expected this to happen. Is this a common thing? I installed 1.5? spring spacers with a set of 30? kryptids and a cvtech clutch had it on for all of 7 hours and this happens. We were in a pond washing off the bikes when I figured I?d try a water wheelie and snap. A fellow rider tells me he heard a weird noise coming from my bike the day before. Anyway I don?t think the mods would do such damage any thoughts guys before I put the tires and spacers back on?
Thanks

Harbor Freight winches

I was at Harbor Freight today and noticed they had some 2500 lb winches for $64. A guy I work with said they are junk and would last 2 times before it tore up.

https://www.harborfreight.com/2500-l...rol-61840.html

I don't think he actually bought one, I think that's just his opinion.

I've bought allot of stuff from Harbor Freight and Northern Tools and never had a problem with anything I've bought. Except for one of those USB rechargeable cigarette lighters from Northern Tools.

Any of you guys using one of these winches?

He says he has a winch his wife bought him but never used it because he thought it would add weight to his ATV and asked if I'd check to see if the rear pinion seal is busted (why it's leaking oil) on his Yamaha Bruin, he would give it to me if he could find it.

This makes the second time I've worked on this Bruin. Last time it flipped down a mountain, got wedged between two tree limbs and wrecked the kingpin, rotor and caliper bracket. I got one of those 110cc kid's ATVs out of that deal!

Where do you ride in western ND?

Relocating to ND in a few days....not much for trails other than down to the black hills (5 hours) or over to Glendive (3 hours)

Is there anywhere close to ride or is it kind of pointless to have an ATV in ND?

2017 Xmr 570 spark arrestor removal??

I'm new to the can am thing and don't know much about them at all. I am having issues with loss of power and I read on here to remove the exhaust plug and run the engine to help clean out the exhaust. Well I did and I had water coming out of my exhaust. So from what I read my next step is to remove the spark arrestor. I don't have a whole lot of experience working on atv's myself. My first thought would be that the spark arrestor is in the muffler but there is no way to take the muffler apart. How do I remove the spark arrestor?? I'm missing something? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Ride adjustment

Hey guys I?m going to Buffalo trails in West Virginia Friday and I have done any Mountain riding on my 2016 1000 XMR. And I?m wondering if I need to do any adjustments to my Suspension/shocks or maybe the power steering. If anyone is familiar with this type of riding it would be greatly appreciated for any information

New Guy

Looking for a few good local people IL

Hey everyone!
Located in Hoffman Estates IL here. Next year I would like to put together some event rides for some parks in the area (somewhat lol). For people around this area, you know of The Cliffs Insane Terrain off-road park in Marseilles IL and of course the Badlands Off-road park in Attica IN. I frequent these places with a few buddies quite often. Looking to see if any locals would be interested in doing some meet ups over the winter to plan some cool events at these parks and others I may not know about. I guess you could say I'm kinda looking to get a local club together. Nothing crazy, just a fun way to work on the machines and have a good time in the mud. Post up where your from and if you would be interested!! Don't care what your riding, as long as its a mud monster lol.

Drive shaft wear rings

Anyone ever removed / installed the wear ring on the front diff input shaft coupler ?
Did you just cut the old one off carefully with a Dremel ?
Freeze the coupler / heat the ring and press it on somehow ?

Normally I would try pressing it on myself but the ends of these have a slight chamfer to them .
Not sure if I have something that exact size and I don't wannt to bugger the chamfer(s) .
