Instrument PNL Q, 1st quad, 2017 1000 x2

Going to dealer for first 25 hr service next week plus any recalls (getting a-arms plates installed too!)

Instrument Panel Service (SRV) says 12.5hr and the number has been going down

Polaris operation manual says 50hrs for service and the wrench symbol will blink 5 times when starting (If I understood that correctly - it can be reset for doing own service, etc).

I guess my question is what does SRV mean? Did I go over the 25hr. Is there 12.5 hours left till I need the 50 hrs or 25 hrs of service? There's an odometer, but no ATV hours, or I'm I missing something somewhere.
Another Q is not sure what the hour glass symbol is next to wrench symbol - can't find ref. to it in Op manual. Assume dealer will reset maintenance cycle

Thanks

750 km review

Well I've put 750 kms on my new to me 2013 400 xt since Aug and I've got to say I think I've got a bit of a MAN-CRUSH going on here. hahah. First off it had 640 kms on it so of coarse tore off the clutches right away and did a full service including one way bearing, oil change etc. Since then just started it and played. I have taken this thing through most everything we have in BC and that's a lot, creeks large gravel pit climbs, technical climbs that I needed a winch to finish( could of made it if I had bigger balls) muddy rutted terrain, swampy grassy crap you don't want to get off in and this little pup of a can-am just kept on going, leaving my buds on there 700 yammies feeling the pressure to follow or keep up. I have to say is it perfect no, but I so far have had not one issue that wasn't already built into the machine. It will go 92kms hr on open trails, so keeps up with the bigger quads there too, if this thing had power steering it would be best in class hands down, its quick, agile and goes where you point it.... What more could you want out of your ride... keep the rubber side down and ride on....

05 Sportsman 500 – New axles, still clicking

I just installed a pair of new from CV axles on my Sportsman 500. When I roll the machine forward I hear clicking still, but rolling it backwards I don't hear the clicking. One seems to do it more than the other, but they both click when rolling forward.

I purchased a pair of the cheaper axles off e-bay.

Any thoughts what might cause this? Two bad axles?

Sportsman shuts off / no display wont turn back on

Hello,

I have a 2012 Polaris Sportsman HO that completely shut off while I was riding it up the road. All lights on the display went out and the machine shut off. There is no way to restart it. I checked the kill switch and toggled it on and off and in between to see if that was the issue but that doesn't make a difference. Battery is charged. Turning the key on in any gear position does not even light up the display. Can anyone help with diagnosing and fixing this?

thanks!

Installed BRP Skids 2017 Outlander Max

I just installed the skid plates today and the front bash plate does not seem to be the correct part. All other parts fit fine. It looks like the part for a 2013-2016 Outlander. Does anyone have the BRP skid plates on a 2017 450/570 G2 Outlander and can show me a picture of the front bash plate?

Hi from Arkansas

Hi I'm new to Polaris atv's having bought a 2012 Sportsman 800 efi recently. So far I really like it even thought I did have a few issues with it. By searching these forums I was able to get it running like a champ. Thanks!

2005 Sportsman 400 no AWD

Recently purchased a 2005 Sportsman for my son. It will not go into AWD. I have current in the grey wire to the front differential, but no current in the Brown/White wire. Is it likely an issue with the magnet or could it be a broken cage? Thanks for any advice

Polaris 90 issues

Having issues with safety switches on Polaris 90 sportsman, can't figure out if they ground for the starting circuit.

Saturday ride on the 570 with the girlfriend

Went up to the mettowee Atv park near Granville ny yesterday. It's small but they have all sorts of terrain and trail types including an oval dirt track, mud pits and more.

Took out the outlander 570, the girlfriend came with and she had a blast. I even let her drive through the mud pits. She did real well for her skill level and only managed to get stuck in the end, (unfortunately no pic)

2010 850 Xp cylinder boring

Just picked up a nice 10 850 Xp (1600 miles) with EPS for $1300. Smoked like crazy, blowing oil out the exhaust, pulled the head, checked the valve seals and while they leak a little not enough to compensate for all the oil usage. Cylinder walls, looked good, no scoring but can not see the cross hatching. So I pulled the motor out and apart, there is a very noticeable "ridge" where the piston reaches the bottom of its stroke, a noticeable ridge for each ring. It has the Nikasil plated jugs, can I just bore them out some and put oversized pistons in and call it good?
