Swamped the renegade-need sugguestions

Hey guys, been awhile since I've used the site but Im back for some help. Earlier this summer I was riding through a lot of mud and swamped my machine, long story short I gave her full throttle and the throttle stuck wide open and knocked me off, flipped upside down in the mud/water and killed itself at wide open. Get it back home later that night, pulled the plugs and cranked it over-LOTS of mud and water came out of the holes and then changed the oil and replaced the filter 5 times. Removed airbox and it was absolutely full of mud as well. I should also mention that the oil was absolutely perfectly clean immediately after swamping and throughout all 5 oil changes, not milky whatsoever. I knew that the there was more than likely still some crud in the top end so I didnt try to start it at this point but I poured some oil in the spark plug holes knowing that I wouldnt be able to mess with it for awhile due to work. Now fast forward about a month and the engine is seized, wont turn over by starter and I cant even turn it by hand with the primary clutch. What should I be doing now? Im pretty sure I'm in need of a top end rebuild for sure but shouldn't I be trying to unseize the thing before tearing it down? Im mechanically inclined but never tore apart an engine in these machines and I figured I'd ask some of you guys what would be the next best thing to do in my case.

Thanks.

TPS – Will a 2014 fit on a 2012?

I believe I need to replace my TPS, and I'm wondering if the 2014 will fit on the 2012? From reading on here, it appears to fix a few issues.

I'm having the high rpm issues that many folks seem to experience. All roads lead to TPS.

New S3 Front Springs (2nd Version)

S3 Front HD Spring update (Version 2 Coming)..............
If you have seen my previous posts regarding my suspension upgrades you will know I had recently installed the S3 Front and Rear Springs and that the 1st version of the S3 HD Front Springs did not allow enough travel for my use and I am currently running stock front springs with 1.25" pucks.
I spoke with Logan at S3 today and they are sending me a new version front spring to test, I should have them next week and will be doing a complete unbiased test and review of them on my Defender, I am currently still running the S3 rear springs and am very happy with them, I will give a report once I receive them.

Will the 2019 1000 Tourings get the new look and upgrades?

Kinda surprised it did not happen for 2018, but understand Polaris need to keep things static for a year and fix all the issues with what they have.

This past weekend I noticed a lot of the 570 tourings out on the trails....makes me wonder if they are selling so few of the 1000 tourings that they are just going to leave them alone until the phase them out. IE not worth the $$ to retool for the new body style, arched aarms, 3 position throttle etc if they only sell a few and the SxS numbers are where the big growth is.

Excessive exhaust/heat aaaaand now my engine is out.

Riding with some friends this past weekend, I ease into the first hole, probably about seat deep, and all of a sudden I've got water in the belt box and my engine is bogging down, eventually coming to a stop/shutting off. After the embarrassing moment of my friends brand new highlifter850 towing me back, I drain the belt box and thats when we noticed milky oil all over the back of the engine/trans.

I immediately drain the oil (filled with milk :th_smiliepullhair: ) and inspect the engine to find that the rear valve cover had melted along with the exhaust snorkel for the cvt case and the breather line on my rear diff (also filled with water)...

Already have the engine flushed/cleaned out and running with Mr. RPM aluminum valve covers, a new snorkel, and breather line on the way.

I want to obviously prevent this from happening again and I know that fiberglass heat wrap will get ruined with as much mud and water I ride in. SO MY QUESTION IS... Has anyone gotten their headers/exhaust ceramic coated or this high heat resistant powder coat? If so how has it lasted/have you noticed any difference in radiant heat?

Thanks.

Fuel Pump for 2007 Polaris 800 EFI

Hello. I have a 2007 Polaris 800 EFI. Can the fuel pump be replaced or will I have to buy the entire gas tank? I have been told both but I can also find just the fuel pump when I search for it online. Thanks.

Snow tires

Hey guys. Got myself a 2007 Renegade 800. Mint condition with 900 miles. Runs awesome.

It came with the original holeshot tires that are nearing the end of their life. So I'm looking to upgrade to a better tire. I live in Massachusetts and ride dry technical trails, almost no mud at all. But all winter we ride in snow. Sometimes pretty deep. Just wondering what tire would you recommend.

I was thinking Bighorns 2.0, just not sure how they will do in snow.

Thanks.

2015 outlander l 500 making crunching noise.

Hi guys. I've had to replace the rear end on it due to a seal going and me not catching it. I've replaced all bearings the pinion and crown gear and seals. I put it back together and was getting one hell of a noise. Found out I didn't phase the shaft correctly. I phased it put it back together and it is running great no sounds. But when I put the wheels on the crunching noise comes back. I brought the shaft in to a dealer and they said its all good. Any ideas on what could be making this noise?
