if anyone could help me with my overheating problem the fans not turning on at all I've checked all the relays and fuses there fine could someone point me in a Direction of what the problem could be its starting get to me I just wanna ride again :|

So I have a new Defender HD5, and I am having sporadic starting issues. Once in a while, when I turn over the key, let the pump run, I turn the key to start and the engine does not turn over, just the sound of the starter cranking, a loud humming/whiring sound. Thoughts?

HAs anyone been in contact with airdam recently? Have sent them a few emails and have received nothing back. I?m looking to buy a primary clutch

So, posted this in Can Am Monsters and had a couple guys say if I take my quad in the sand, it will destroy the wheel bearings and brakes. Not maybe, or after repeated usage, if I do it in one trip over a weekend.

This will be the first time I take my Outlander 800R to the dunes, so I don't have experience with this. But I figured if I posted here, someone with experience would know.

I guess I don't see how when I trail ride and go through mud, dirt and debris how now that the quad sees sand it will destroy it quickly.

i have a 2002 sportsman 500ho. recently I discovered that the gasket between th crank case and the jug had went bad (it was leaking air). So I called a bud who works on engines and we replaced all the upper engine gaskets. he also then set the valves which really were not far from spec. after it is all put together we now notice a little more valve noise (I think, might be ears messing with me) then before and when I drive the wheeler it falls on its face when I get to about 1/2 throttle. it sounds just like when you hit the rev limiter in reverse.

It ran perfect before we tried to fix it and now this happens.
all engine bolts were torqued to spec per manual
Engine starts and idles fine. maybe a little extra valve noise but not sure if my ears are playing tricks on me or not.
timing was checked when we put it together.
valves were set to .006
we didn't replace the piston or rings, they looked fine
the carb we didn't take apart in any way, left cables connected. it did leak a touch when we reinstalled it but the needle was sticking. a couple taps to the bowl and it was fine again, no leaking.
the decompression valve came out of the cam but we put it back together per the service manual


any ideas on what could be causing this?

Hey guys. I have a 17 renegade xxc 850, looking to run a snorkel from the cvt exhaust up twords the intakes more. Anyone have any homemade snorkels or Good bought ones? I don?t really wanna go outside the front plastics like a regular snorkel.

I have a 2017 570 sportsman touring, will the older risers fit? I can't find any for newer than 2013

I just bought a 2017 570 and love it but I'm looking to get a little more ground clearance my wife just started riding with me and the extra weight is causing me to bottom out some over bigger ruts. I've found the 2 inch steel pipe lift for the front and rear and am planning on doing that but I don't want to be replacing axles every ride is this going to be an issue? I've been lurking for a while and seen where a lot of 570s are running this lift but no real reviews of it. Thanks in advance

Hey!! just scored a new/used set of Silver backs.... front: 10x12x28 and rears: 12x12x28
are these going to fit on a stock 2007 sportsman 800 using stock steel rims/offsets?
and i really want to do a clutch kit but its about 50/50 from people i talk to .... as i'm keeping the stock tiers for trail riding and swapin in the silver backs for the mud parks .... any info/suggestions as always is greatly appreciated! :)

Hey guys I've seen many people like to use the schaeffers moly treatment as an additive to their transmission. Is this an engine oil additive you're mixing with the gear oil? I came from a couple german cars and I'm a firm believer in the lubro moly. I put their additives in everything. My question is, lubro moly has a mos2 additive made for engines and engine oil as well as a moly additive made for gears and gear oil. Since the transmission uses gear oil, it should take the gear additive correct? Thanks in advance.
