Defender driveline clunk

I just bought a new defender HD10,I like the machine but don't like the clunk with shifting from forward to reverse and when getting on and off the throttle.It seems to have driveline slop,can anybody explain what this is and a cure for it?

hi all new to this forum not new to riding tho I have a 2017 850 renegade with about 1500 miles on it the rear forward ujoint is gone,looking for part # or after market 1 any help thanks in advance

XMR 1000 XMR 650 oil filter questions

So I did oil changes on myn and my sons machines and used the K&N 152 oil filters and that fit differant then factory

The end of the oil filter was tight in the over cap part.... any one expierance this???

2005 Bombardier outlander bulbs

Still surprised how much these things are. I read somewhere that their are no aftermarket bulbs. Ebay doesn't even sell these most the time. 30 Dollars a bulb...Here is the part number for anyone curious. 710000176. Anyone have any cheaper ideas besides axillary lights?

Stiff steering 06 Pred

Hello, im new to the forum but i recently bought a 2006 predator 500 and the steering is really stiff. Im not sure if its normal for the Pro Steering to be this hard to turn but it is really heavy. My toe for the tires is good and my tie rods are seem to be good. Also im thinking of taking apart the whole steering system cleaning it re-greasing it and putting in a new upper steering stem bushing. Any help would be great!

2011 650 Outlander check engine light

Hello , I have a problem with my 2011 650 Outlander, when riding , my gear indicator turns to a back wards "E" and engine light comes on at around 3000 RPM, when I let off the throttle, light goes out (E indicator goes back to correct gear ratio.) . throttle back up and light comes on again , If I Rev the ATV past 3000 RPM in Park of neutral light does not come on.

I have checked obvious things like fluid levels, cleaned air filter

I have tried to retrieve any codes, through speedo/odometer (Hi/low indicator switching) , bike indicates that no p-codes are present

I have recently had both clutches of , rebuilt Primary, cleaned secondary . everything seems to work as it should.

I know that I can get dealer to scan bike for stored codes/code history ( shop booked for 3 weeks)

anyone have any ideas on what this problem could be or direction to look ?

Vent Hose

I’m in the middle of doing my annual maintenance on my 6x6, which includes taking both primary & secondary clutches off to clean, inspect & grease. I noticed the thrush washer on the secondary had what looks like a crack in it. Probably not a real issue but I have ordered a new one rather than take a chance. Next I removed the back plate so I could more easily take the pipes off (going to take them in for ceramic coating) and get to the valve covers to check valves and I noticed that the vent hose from the engine was badly cracked (ordered a new one of these also). Pretty sure that the damage done to the vent hose was due to excessive heat, so probably something everyone should be aware of if they have experienced any heat problems before.

I have a 2004 sportsman h.o. that will not start. It has a new battery and fresh gas. The display screen will not come on and i get nothing when i turn the key. Whats up?
