New Outlander from Pittsburgh PA – TIRE HELP

Hi Everyone,

I'm Ryan from Pittsburgh. I ride down near Deep Creek Maryland. I have an 02' Honda 300ex, 99' Honda Fourtrax 300 and just recently a 2009 Outlander 800r XT.

The Outlander is a blast but my first upgrade (other than new break pads) will be new tires. My fronts are essentially bald but the backs are still pretty healthy.

My father in law has Kenda Executioners and they are nasty! I'm looking into those based on their wear life (so far minimal wear after 4 years and we ride lots and lots of dirt/gravel roads, rock/boulder hill climbs, mud and water).

The other two i'm looking at are Outlaws (gen 1 or 2) and Silverbacks (MT2's are too expensive).

QUESTION: Anyone on here have an Outlander 800r with STOCK wheels but upgrades tires? I am bone stock and looking to keep my wheels but upgrade tires. Would 28" fit? I've been reading that 28" Outlaws fit great without wear, zero lift, zero spacers and stock wheels - just need someone to confirm that!

Thanks,
Ryan

650 outlander xt , engine light Question

Hello , just trying to troubleshoot my 650 , atv runs and starts fine , but My engine light will come on when I hit about 3500 RPM , engine light goes out as soon as atv comes back to idle . It does this when bike is cold or warm. Checked engine oil , front and back diff fluids were changed not very long ago , cleaned and re-oiled air filter , any one have any ideas where to look next ,also side note when I first start maintenance required scrolls at bottom. Any help would be appreciated

2016- rear springs

I noticed the EPI does not list rear springs for 2016 and up 570.
I asked EPI why and they said Polaris changed to 120# springs in back. What I find weird is Polaris kept 100# on the touring models.
Now for my question, I already moved the rears adjuster up to the middle (plan on going all the way next). It still feels to me like the rears are to soft, the back drops a lot when I accelerate. On my wifes it looks like there is a lot of negative camber in back still. (hers set to middle also)
Is there another stiffer option, or will I hate myself if I go that much stiffer?

New to the Forum

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the forum and a first time ATV/UTV rider. Finally got out of the sprawl and into the country and picked this baby up last weekend.

Single or dual rjwc?

Looking at getting the rjwc for my touring just trying to decide between the single and dual set up been listening to YouTube videos but I was hoping someone on here might has heard both in person and could tell me which sounds better I don't need to be quiet where I ride so louder than stock is fine with me

How to tell timing needs to be done

2012 OUTLANDER 1000 259 Hours 2644 Miles
Not beat on , change engine oil ,Clean Air Filter, front & rear Diff , Trans/Gear Box oil ON TIME , several times
I just want to know how to know if the timing needs to be checked
Since new there's been a very very low ticking that I believe is normal.
Had initial 10 hour dealership oil change complete go over.
YOU KNOW DEALERSHIPS on Long Island NY want to just RAPE THE SHIT OUT OF YOU HERE.
Bike has tons of power and runs Great but just want to know , anything I need to be aware of. ( Slight bit of play in steering column) and watch all play in front end.
Thank you very much for any and all your Guidance.

2014 maverick 1000 Clutch problem. NEED HELP

My maverick is almost what id call jumpy when I go to take off, it jerks and bucks when I take off but is fine once I'm up to 20 mph or so. It also will smoke my belts when I'm in a mud hole or going up a steep grade from take off. I know it has something to do with my clutches, bought a new belt last month and its doing the same thing. What do I need to buy to fix this thing? Going on a big trip in the next few weeks and could really use some help! Thanks!
