01 scrambler no voltage on 4×4 system

I recently purchased a 01 scrambler that wasn't in the best of shape, and in pieces when I bought it. I got it all back together and everything is working great EXCEPT the 4x4 system (of course).

All grounds in the system tested around 0.3-0.4 ohms so those seem fine.

Measuring resistance between pins going toward the hub is 25.1 on each side so those seem to be fine.

At the connectors going toward the switch I have no voltage, not even with the engine running and wheels spinning. Judging by the inside of the switch on the handle bar, it looks like the bottom 4 wires on the pin (6 wires total) are for the 4x4 system, brown/white, (2) solid slate wires, and a slate/white wire.

From looking at the inside of the switch it looks like the slate/white wire should be supplying the 12v.... I followed this wire through the wire loom and it appears to go to a connector on top of the transmission on the "pull start side"....

One thing I was thinking is, what if I splice the slate/white wire to another wire that becomes hot with the key? If that brings 12v to the switch and then 12v to the hubs when the switch is thrown... it should work right??? Any help is much appreciated!!!!!

Help

In the process of changing my transmission oil on my 2016 sportsman 570. I took out the fill plug, then took out the drain plug and drained the transmission fluid out, it looked like only about a quart came out so stood on the drain side of the wheeler and also on the back of the wheeler, I was hoping i got at least a quart and a half out but when I went to refill it I can only get 1 quart in. Anybody else run into this? Should I just be ok with only changing one quart or is there some kinda trick for getting it all out? Thanks for any replies as this is my 1st time changing the fluid on my wheeler.

DIY Lock & Ride mounting holes?

I have a 2017 570 Utility. It has the "Tough Racks" in front and back, and the composite underneath doesn't feature the lock & ride mounting holes. If I wanted to add some lock & ride accessories, is it as easy as just say taking a hole saw to the composite or is it not that simple?

Gas gauge

I need a new gas gauge but I looked on the Polaris parts site and it just shows a cap. Was my gauge something the PO added and how do I find the correct part number? Thanks

2017 850 SP – Smooth take off? easy to use at low speeds?

Hello all,

Looking at a 17 850 SP.

2 questions:

-Is it easy to make a smooth take off from a stop? my 2010 550 jumps like crazy.
-How is the big 850 in low speed situations, my mom likes to ride on some fairly narrow trails around our cabin and I just want to make sure she doesn't hit a tree.

Thanks all

Peak RPM

Thinking about my spare replacement belt and making sure if I ever have to put it on I get the right performance. What is the Peak RPM of the 570? What I mean is what RPM is the most horsepower generated? I would assume that is what these are clutched for. Mine is a 2017 model.

Seems to be running RICH

I have a sportsman 800 2009 seems to be running rich, it runs okay when it's cold but after it warms up it gets worse. I can smell fumes or Rich fuel from the exhaust, and then it does seem to run through the gas tank pretty fast well faster than our 500

Show pics of your 200 Phoenix / Sawtooth

After searching in the specific model section of this forums I haven´t found a thread about pics of this lil´machines.

So I´ll start with a pic of how my son´s Phoenix ended after a very fun ride in muddy roads. Still amazed of how far this "small" quads can go without having 4WD
