Motor swap/big bore guys……what battery/batteries are you using?
I recently installed a Maverick engine in my 2011 outlander XXC, and I have terrible cranking issues, especially when its hot. I have replaced the battery, no help. I typically have to keep jumper cables with me in case it acts up and needs a boost.
I have check wiring, replaced solenoid, and purchased a starter (haven't installed it yet), but nothing has changed. I voltage drop tested the starter, .3v which is fine, was gonna do an amp draw test but haven't gotten my hands on an amp clamp yet.
That said, when I get a jump start, OR hook my charger on 40 amp setting, it cranks excellent. So I am wondering if I am chasing my tail replacing parts on something that just needs more power? MrRPM said he uses Lithium ion batteries in his BBK bikes, but your talking 3-600 for a battery! IF I knew if would work, I would certainly bite the bullet and get one, but I'd sure hate to spend that money and be cranking like before!
So I was hoping to find someone that possibly had the same issue that could help out? My only other idea was the 24v start system, or add a second full size battery and mount in the rear compartment as a normal 12v secondary battery, but didn't want to have to get into using an isolater and make it complicated.
Any help would be appreciated!!

Flushing diesel out
So I grabbed what I thought was gas in a red jerry can and filled my quad from empty...turns out it was diesel and I let it run tull it shit my quad off. Proceeded to try and start my quad several times till I figured out I put diesel in it. Drained the diesel out by tipping it on it side and draining it out. Filled it up with premium gas and tried to start it, it almost went a few times but it didnt end up running. I pulled the plug on the right hand side that I could get to and then held the starter button till It spit what I thought was all the fuel out and it all of a sudden started. So I shut it off and parked it for the night (figured I had fucked around long enough and was gettin tired). Looking for info on what to do next before I try starting it again. Gonna pull my throttle body off and clean it, what else does a guy do?
Auxillary lights on 2011 outlander 500
I'm still messing with the lower lights on my 2011 Can-Am Outlander 500. The machine came with the lights (see picture's). They appeared to be factory installed, but might be aftermarket. The kid I bought the ATV from had unplugged them He said I could get a new harness at Tractor Supply. (I'm suspecting he may have got the light at Tractor Supply also, because the lights have the "TRAVELLER" brand connector.
The left led has burnt out and I am trying to replace it. The 2 1/4" or 56mm light fits perfectly in the opening. The opening is Can-am part # 705002780 called LH lower front facia.
I can't find the TRAVELLER brand lights anywhere.
Has anyone put a light in the "lower front facia" opening? What did you use? Where did it come from?

Just got a new ride
So i just got a nee 2017 570 eps after selling my beloved hawkeye with only 67 hours 375 miles that i had since new since 2006. It couldnt pull my brush hog very long without over heating and not wanting to run. I also have a 2018 ranger on order but prefer mowing with brush hog with an atv since its more agile and easier to see behind me to watch the hog.
Throttle sticking code
I'm getting the code for the throttle being stuck and whenever I give it a quarter throttle and let off it will keep running at 1600 1800 rpm for about 3 or 4 seconds but the time varies and it will come back down to idle. Cleaned throttle body but didn't fix it. Any ideas
Sportsman 570 rear RH sway bar link contacting exhaust- PLEASE HELP!
Hello All,
I've been having an issue with my 2017 Sportsman 570 that pertains to the rear RH sway bar link contacting the exhaust muffler when the suspension is at near full travel. I brought the machine to my local dealer and tried to get it checked out under warranty. Since the service manager had never seen or heard of this exact issue, he assumed that I was hiding something from him "there's something going on here that we don't know about" (Jim, Tousley Motorsports Service MN). I pulled it out of the dealer as soon as I realized their priority wasn't to help me but to point a finger at me.
I've never towed or hauled anything; however, I do weigh 240 lbs and certain riding conditions and terrain must be causing this issue. I ride responsibly on state trails and the 4 wheels have never been off the ground. I've spent a lot of time trying to track this issue down online but cant find anything of significance. If anyone has experienced this same issue, please let me know so that I can inform Polaris about the problem.
Thank you very much!

850 clutch suprise!
Hi fellas,
I just thought I would share my story. Today I pulled the primary outer half off to service the one-way assembly and clean things up. Everything looked OK but, needing some Isoflex grease. I pulled the 2 bearings out (sealed both sides), wiped them off and solvent cleaned the remainder of the parts. After reassembling the one-way I started cleaning and scuffing the sheaves with some Scotch Brite and then I saw a flat spot on a roller. The unhappiness started then. I just brought the bike home from the dealer after getting the 2,000 mile valve clearance check-yesterday (80 mile round trip). Luckily they had rollers in stock. Then the service man told me it would be under warrantee-if they replaced the rollers but, needed the whole machine. Well I didn't want to lose the bike for the whole holiday weekend so I went to the dealer and bought the rollers. When I pulled in the sales manager greeted me in the parking lot so I related my story to him and he said he would get my roller purchase refunded under warrantee ! I still had to replace all 6 rollers and it took some improvisation but, good triumphed over evil and I got her done!
The moral of this story is: the clutch rollers can develop flat spots in as little as 2150 miles. I purchased this machine in March and have around 80 hours on it. Now to go out and wear out the new rollers!

New headlights…. Xenon… Not brighter?
Hey everyone! So I stopped at my local dealer today and picked up two sets of the Xenon blue colored 50w headlights. They were on sale for $32 each. I threw them on my quad and they are a whiter light which I like but they seem to be not a bright as stock... Has anyone else noticed this? Do they need a bit to warm up?? How do I get more out of these headlights!!??

Correct Odometer reading???
Hey Fella's...quick question. If you have seen the "800 for $800" build thread, you know i'm rebuilding a 2005 Sportsman 800. The owner before me must have flipped the thing because the Speedometer was busted really bad. He gave me a good used Speedometer from another quad that works great. Question is...when i look at total mileage am i seeing the mileage of the Quad i own or the mileage of the previous quad? Basically, does the current speedo record accumulated miles or does the pcm keep the record?
