I recently purchased a 2002 Polaris Xplorer 250 4x4. It does not start and I have been trying to get it to start. Everything electrical is working great and I have a good spark. Also, fuel is being delivered and I took the carb out and cleaned it well. Today I did a compression test and only turned up 30 psi and I know this is way too low. And its not my gauge because I tested the gauge on my lawnmower and it turned up over 100. I took the valve cover off and the head gasket seems to be OK. I just can't figure out where I am losing compression and what the best way would be to get enough compression to start it up. Any help or recommendations are greatly appreciated.

Newbie saying hi and need help
Long story short...my girlfriend put her 99 scrambler 400 4x4 into a puddle (pond) today. We towed it home and pulled off the filter, carb, air tube on the lower left side and spark plug. We turned it over a bunch to get some water out but not sure where to go from here. I'm mechanically inclind and will be trying to get it going my self but I know nothing about 2 strokes. Motorcycles and cars yes. Need detailed help. More info the better.
Thanks in advance
BTW new to quading...the both of us and have really been enjoying it. Except today!!

Lower Steering Bushing Replacement??
My project is getting newer one part at a time. I need to replace the lower steering bushing and hope someone can give me some tips. Does anyone know what needs to be done to remove the old bushing and install the new one? There is a large bolt at the bottom of the steering shaft that will need to be removed. Once that is loose will the steering shaft slide up a few inches to replace the bushing? I appreciate any info that will keep me from wasting time. Thanks.
2017 Sportsman 1000
Hello everybody, I am just sending this out there to see if anyone has done any mods to the muffler on the new sportsman 1000. I am not sure if the muffler on the sportsman is a catalytic muffler like the RZR, and if so has anybody gutted it??? I have gutted a RZR turbo muffler and I noticed a pretty fair increase in power. I would like to know if anyone has done it before I do it:devil
325 Magnum Cylinder Head
Does anyone have a 325 or 330 cylinder head off their machine? I have my MOSE with the 330 engine that I can't get to run right. I am afraid I put the 325 head on it rather than the 330 head. There isn't a part number stamped into the casting.
All I can find is a few markings on the bottom side. They are different but I can't tell from them what the head is supposed to go on. From the measurement that I have tried, it appears that the combustion chamber is different between them. I don't have the tools to correctly cc the chamber so I am trying to figure it out another way. Any help would be appreciated!

I have a 04 sportsman 500 HO that won't start. The battery is new. It won't do anything. I can pull cord start it that's it. After getting it running by pull starting it, lights, winch, instrument cluster won't work. Thanks in advance
2005 700 twin carbed , fan not cycling
Hi ,read through as much as possible on fan not cycling on and off and can not figure out my problem . New thermostat ,no change ,new temp sensor on cylinderhead ,no change , old rad had a bend on bottom so replaced rad and hoses with a good clean rad.new antifreeze .fan cuts in and will not shut off unless i turn the key off and then it shots off .If i disconnect the temp sensor the fan cuts in as it should if i put a little cold water on the old or new sensor the fan will shut off . the machine does not seem to be running hot and i can feel the temp change in the rad and the hoses as the thermostat opens and closes . when i throttle i can see the rad hose neck drop and seems like good circulation . It seems to me that the thermostat is set at a higher temp than the fan so the fan will always run . never checked the resistance the switch but new and old switch are working the same .hot light is not flashing . I can feel the right side of the rad getting hot then cooling off .Any suggestions would be appreciated ,thanks.
