Center chain adjustment

Hello everyone:
So today I tried to adjust the center chain according to the manual and was unable to do so. Loosened the 5/8 bolts and put a large stout allen wrench through the sprocket and hole into the eccentric, and of course with my luck I broke a side chuck of the hole out...so it wouldn't budge. Is there another way now that I can adjust this?

Street Legal in Mexico

Hola amigos.
I'm Leland and I now live in Puerto Vallarta Mexico. Quads are street legal here but there are some gray areas to legality. I have the rack and rear trunk and mirrors. Now blinkers are another story. To most locals they are just a "suggestion" just as is the speed limit, street signs and road markings. Most drivers sort of make up their own driving laws as they go along. However just for the sake of safety and lessen the chances of being stopped I will be adding blinkers. Cops can be a pain in the ass here.
As far as the machine itself, it's great. Much easier to maneuver on the narrow streets of most small towns compared to my Tundra. Far better parking ability and it actually is a smoother ride on most streets than my truck. However is the heat. From the first of June to mid September the temp runs about 95 degrees with humidity at about 98%. I have found that running our Outland 1000 under 40kph creates a lot of heat. I try to stay above 40 and it really cools down between 55 and 65kph.
But living here, I just could't run it at night without adding a bit of "bling". So I have added a photo of our machine taken at dark.
As they say, "When in Mexico do as the Mexicans do."
We added LED lights. The lights are from Boogie Lights (5mm). They are wired into the headlight and come on when headlight come on. I put quick disconnects at the headlights, before the foot rests and after the foot rest. Easier to remove panels without worrying about the LEDS. I must say it does turn heads.

CanAm Apache serial number

Greetings all. The first few numbers of the serial numbers on the Apache tracks look a date code. Can anyone confirm this? Or better yet, know how to attain a date code from the serial number? Pictured below.
I just picked theses up.

rectifier/regulator upgrade

Hi Gang,
Tarik here.

I was wondering if anyone can help out.
I have a 2002 sportsman 700 and the regulator/rectifier needs replacing. maybe the stator as well but ..... anyways.
when I search on partzilla or whatever the rectifier is obsolete.
does anyone know the replacement part number? or an aftermarket one? that would fit?
Its a 4 wire one.

I am also looking to purchase the updated ignition kit used . I have found one that does not have the rectifier with it.
does anyone know the part number for the rectifier that goes with that kokusan kit (2201602)

thanks in advance for your knowlege and help
cheers
Tarik

New rider here

Just picked up my first canam, a 2008 Renny X. Ive owned about 50 atvs in my time but this is my first canam and I like it! I have a few questions I thought you guys could help me with. Im a fast trail rider with a little mud and snow.

1. What tire and size do yall recommend? I was thinking 14" wheel and 26" tires.

2. Will a slip on improve acceleration? I dont want something too loud but I want it deep sounding. From searching looks like the Aaen is the way to go.

3. What in all do I need for an 09 intake upgrade and is it a noticeable improvement?

4. Clutch upgrades? Whats the latest and greatest? Not worried about topend just want brutal acceleration.

5. Do I need a programmer with these mods and if so which one?

Adding oil to a 335 Sportsman

Where do you add oil on a 335?
I filled the tank ahead of the engine and new filter.
Found the drain plug on the bottom of the crank case.
But don't see a fill tube.

Renegade grease zerks

I have a 2014 Renegade 800 R. I have counted 8 grease zerks on front suspension, 6 on the rear suspension and 2 on the drive shaft U joints.
This makes a total of 16 grease zerks.:
Do I have them all covered or are there more than 16?

Thanks
