How do I check pump pressure or an electrical issue (component opening up when heated up).

Hello everyone I’m new here from northern MN

Hi everybody I'm 47 and disabled. I havnt been able to work for the last 4 yrs. I walk real slow with 2 canes. I'm going to Mayo next week to hopefully get some answers. I have had 1 back surgery and 2 on my neck with no improvement. I spend a lot of my time driving around in my side x side. I like to putts around in my shop on little projects that i can do at my own pace. That is what brings me here. I need some info from all you smart bombardier people. I am working on my dads 05 John Deere Trail Buck 500 Auto. Im try to remove the primary drive clutch. I have been reading in many forums on the net and people are all over the place on this. Im not familiar with this clutch. Im trying to remove it as the spring is hanging up and it wont stop. This clutch is different from comet ac and polaris where you can remove the outer cover to remove the spring. I need to know if this is a split clutch that I can just remove the outer shiv and spider or does it come off in one piece like all the clutches im used to? I have read where some say both ways. I have the JD part number for the puller JDG 11200 I cant seem to find one to buy. I dont really want to spend $60-$100 on a tool im just going use once. Could some one please tell me how this clutch comes apart?? If someone has one of these pullers could you please give accurate dimensions of it so I can build one of my own. I need to know what thread is in the clutch so I can get a bolt to screw in against the proper round stock to pop the clutch off. I know a guy that works at Team Industrys where the clutch was most likely built that will turn me out apuler too. I just need all of the accurate dimensions of the tool. Please HELP

Trailblazer 250 Charging system HELP!!!

Hello, this is my first time posting, and I need a little help. I'm in the process of putting a '96 Polaris Trailblazer 250 engine on an '81 Honda Odyessy FL250 frame. I'm on the home stretch and the last thing to do is electrical. I am having trouble figuring out the charging system. Basically how do I hook up the stator wires so my battery gets changed. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!:)
Thanks,
God Bless!!!

No brakes, getting frustrated…

Hello everyone. I recently got a magnum 325. It has issues and I'm not too concerned about most of them. The one that's driving me nuts is the brakes. This machine has no brakes at all. Handbrake was complete mush and there was brake fluid leaking out of it. So I had a brand new cheapy eBay one kicking around here so I threw that on. Getting a tiny bit of pressure off of it, but not too much, not enough to do anything at all. The foot brake does absolutely nothing. I can't get any fluid out of the bleeder at All, reservoir is full, not even a bubble out of it. I'm getting pretty frustrated trying to get any brake pressure at all out of it. Obviously this thing is unsafe to ride, and I would really like to change that. I really hope that someone here can help, as I am supposed to take this thing out to the lake this weekend and I would sure like to be able to stop...

Hello All, sorta new quad here.

Hi everyone. I recently acquired a 2001 magnum 325 4x4. I made a trade for a couple old rifles i sont use sitting in my safe for the machine. It runs like a champ which is a huge plus. But does have some issues. The front cv's will need to be replaced, the battery is dead, it had a flat tire, and the worst part of all is it has absolutely no brakes, I will make a post in the appropriate section for that. I'm really hoping I can get this thing fixed up so I can take my kid out for a ride. He's very excited lol.

Filters for 96 Polaris Sportsman 400 2 stroke

Does anyone know what the part number is for the foam air filter that fits on the neck of the black plastic intake of a 1996 Polaris Sportsman 400 2 stroke? A mouse got in there and chewed mine all up. Also if anyone knows how to get a replacement drain plug that goes in the bottom of the silver air intake (which is just below the black plastic intake just below the seat), I need that as well. The mouse chewed on the 4 grey X connectors that hold the plastic plug in place and it fell off. One more question, it would seem an air filter should sit inside the silver metal intake, but my atv doesn't have anything there. I've searched and searched, but can't seem to find the right parts for sure.

I do have an electronic service manual for the Sportsman, but it seems that many of the pictures are of the Sportsman 500 and not he 400 2 stroke that I have. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I love my 2 stroke and would like to get it back up and running.

Speed…How Fast..How Long..How Safe

Hey guys, Leland here.
As stated when I joined this forum, I'm 63, retired and we are now living in Puerto Vallarta Mexico. We just brought our new Outland Max 1000 into Mexico. Because of parking (very narrow) city and town streets (again very narrow and crowed) we thought a ATV would be the way to go. They are street legal and many people ride them. Hell, we've seen as many as 12 people on one, a small one at that.
Anyway, question is speed. Everything here is metric. Here is how the speed limits break down: (Keep in mind they are only a suggestion.)
45kph=28mph, 60kph=37mph,80kph=49mph and 100kph=62mph.
How long can the outlander run at the higher speeds? Normal speeds on Highway 200 is between 45kph and 80kph. Many slow downs are due to traffic, speed bumps (they love their speed bumps) and stop lights so the distance isn't more than, I would 5 miles at a time.
I am new to the ATV thing and never have had one before so heckle me lightly.
Thanks guys
Leland
