How to fix a broken composite rack

In addition to all the other fails on my wheeler (I really got ripped off by the jerk who sold it to me), while disassembling the necessary components to install the new winch, I noticed that there was a crack along the part of the bumper that bolts it to the wheeler. I slowed way down and used caution while I finished taking the bolts out of the plate.. and the piece of composite flange thing just fell onto the ground.

I'm not worried about the bumper falling off.. it's got a winch and a lot of steel to get past before it does, but I don't want to *not* try to patch this up somehow.

What glue would you all recommend? Regular Krazy Glue? Gorilla glue? Elmers? Rubber cement? Spit on it?

Thanks!

Just a newbie to ATVs

My name is Leland, I'm 63 and retired from the pulp and paper industry. We had lived in Washington state but decided to pull up stakes, sell everything and move to Puerto Vallarta Mexico. Had a Can Am Spyder 2011 but decided the road conditions here in Mexico were not suitable for that type of bike. However I do miss it. So I sold it and we bought a 2017 Can Am Outlander 1000 Max. They are street legal here and it seems many people ride them. Saves gas on the truck and is easier for the parking spaces.
Glad to be here and hope to learn a few things.
Do have one question though.
What tire pressure do you guys recommend for street use?
Thanks and hope to hear from you.

Ladies and gentlemen, make no mistake. There is a war going on. It is raging between Polaris and Can-Am over who can make the fastest and best handling Sport Side-by-Side. It is a war that Polaris held the high ground on for years, until Can-Am unleashed the X3 lineup. This new entry shook the very foundation of the UTV world.

Earlier this year, Can-Am unveiled the latest versions of the X3s and we all couldn’t help but notice the boosts in horsepower numbers. This added fuel to an already burning fire. How would Polaris respond? Earlier this week, we all found out. How do the premier machines from each company stack up? For now, we can only speculate based on the specifications. Let’s look how the 2018 Polaris RZR XP Turboo EPS Dynamix and Can-Am Maverick X3 X RS Turbo R stack up – by the numbers.

Has anyone tryed to fabricate a LinQ rack to the Commander?

Has anyone tryed to fabricate a LinQ rack to the Commander. Im trying to re-use my Canam LinQ rear 3 section soft pack from my Outlander ATV, on my Commander. Tried bungie'ing it down in the cargo bed on the commander but it flops around to much. was hoping to modify a rear LinQ rack from an atv to mount on the rear bed rails of the commander? so has anyone done something similar? i see the Mavrick has the LinQ rack but nothing availablke for the commander.
Show me what youve done.

Thanks,

Allen Wrenches for ’15 Sportsman XP 1000

2015 Sportsman XP 1000: Trying to determine what allen wrenches it uses so I can purchase sockets for easier use. Called service departments and got inconsistent answers of metric only, Standard only, and a mixture of both. Can anyone tell me:

1. Metric, Standard, or both?
2. Does anyone know what sizes so I can make sure the set I get covers all of them? Saw on a few discussions regarding other models that they used some 'off' sizes that don't come in basic sets I'd like to get a small set, not one that has every size ever created...and if need be, add a few 'off' sizes.

Thanks

2005 Polaris Sportsman 400 completely dead after rough start

Hey all,

Long time lurker, rare poster here.

I need some assistance. I'm having a heck of a weekend with my ATV. First, I went for a 10 mile ride with a wasp nest between my legs (they built it under the wheel well) and was wondering why I was getting swarmed every time I stopped or slowed down. Anyways, after dealing with that I went to go for a ride last night and ran into an issue. The battery was low, but still had juice. I got it started but ended up using the pull cord to save the battery. It stalled a couple times because I didn't use the choke (lazy) but then it fired up. When I was about to take off I gave it some gas and it died. Nothing on the instrument cluster, no lights, when I turn the key I get nothing. I'm relatively new to maintenance on this so I'm not sure where I should even begin to start. I should note when the key is in the on position, and i use the pull cord it doesn't start either.

I currently have it on the 40w solar panel charging but even after a while on that when I turn the key I get nothing.

Any ideas or suggestions would be helpful.. Thoughts??

Between Gears (High & Low)

So I was out siding and came to a soupy area, so I came to stop, put it into low from high and then made my way in. While on the throttle I hear some grinding, so i let off the throttle. I looked down at the instrument cluster and noticed that on the display it was still registering as being in 'high'. I shifted it out of low, back into high, then back into low and then the display registered as being in 'low' and continued on my way.

A) is this common,

B) should I be concerned? Have I done damage? Should I get it looked at?

Oh BTW... Its a 2015 Outty 500XT.

Thanks!
