Keeps dying/rough idle very intermittent

2012 polaris sportsman 800 Efi.
Got the bike out to do some running around. It's probably been sitting in the shop a month or so. I noticed it was idling rough and when I gave it throttle it kinda cut out. After a second it cleared up. Then at idle it would die every now and then.

Decided it needed fresh gas. Filled it up and ride about 30 minutes and it's still doing it intermittently.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

2006 Sportsman 500 wont start unless intake is covered

Like the title says my 2006 sportsman 500 ho won't start unless I put my hand over the air intake tube. Once it's started it runs great like normal. I recently replaced the fuel pump and it seems like the new pump is fine. But, is there something I missed that may be causing this problem?

2016 Sportsman 570 – A headache.

After years of rock solid reliability from a 2004.5 500HO (bought new) and a good 09 300 my friend decided he'd buy a 2016 570 EPS last fall.

This has been a headache for him...

'The plastic not fitting, Polaris telling me to drill holes in it and
use push-pins or screws to hold it together.
The rotting exhaust after one ride.
The heat.
The having to pay a $56 deductible to use the warranty at 20 hours
because the water pump housing was bad, and the clutches were not
aligned.
The cracking Lock and Ride windshield.
Headlight bulbs burning out at 20 hours.

And you can say I called Polaris after my dealer could care less and
Polaris had nothing to say and were not concerned at all. And offered
to do nothing.

And in the case Polaris may look at these forums you can say I have
three Polaris's for sale and am changing brands.'

My reason for not buying another, my 400HO will be my last.

Sportsmans getting a workout

Got some time between loads so figured I'd snap a few pics of our rock project we have been working on. Using the sportsmans with dump carts to haul rock down to our eroded shoreline. Steep grade and the rangers were too big to fit. Beats the hell out a wheelbarrow!

How do you like your 27 inch Vipers on the Copper LE 1000?

Seems like on some other forums they are talking about going to these for their SxS as a good alternative to blackwaters.

Does the extra inch make them rub much (read this on a magazine review) Are they stiff compared to the CSTs? Are they a significant performance upgrade from the 26 inch CST? How is the ride quality?

Gear box Output seal

Well its that time to change the leaky seal on my 650 Outlander. I have read a bunch of posts regarding this I just have a couple questions. What parts need to be ordered to complete the job? Looks like I can order the oil seal and O ring but there looks like a sleeve that goes with the O Ring that can not be ordered. It looks similar to the wear ring that is replaced when you do the seal on the Differentials. Is the sleeve necessary or do you guys just replace the oil seal and O ring? One last thing how are you guys getting the oil seal out?

maverick heads

Sidewall Repair

Check out this new product for sidewall repair. Google "sidewall slug". It is the only product that can field repair a sidewall tear in an off road vehicle without removing the tire from the rim.

Looks really interesting. Rick.
