i have a 199 Polaris 335 Sportsman. First ATV and enjoying it.
2003 Sportsman 700 power loss
Last weekend we were riding and the 700 would bog out whenever you would go through a water/mud hole that was more then a foot deep. The thing I don't understand is that it would run fine down the trail, no bogging and no power loss. I got it up to 55mph with no problem but as soon as you would drive through a water hole it would bog out. My first though is the air filter, could this be the problem? it just had a full service.
Overheating and fan comes on within first 5 mins of riding
I have a 2001 sportsman 500. We took the quad to Haspin Acres in Indiana and went through a good amount of mud, so we washed it down and let it sit for a while, it did okay the rest of the weekend. Once we got home the fan started turning on within the first 5 mins of being started. We have flushed the rad, checked the water pump, replaced the thermostat and cap. Still doing the same thing.
Strang problem after not riding for a long time.
I have a 2009 Sportsman 500 H.Q.
Last week i wanted to start him after almost 4 months... the battery was dead so i tried to start him by cables to my car.
It started almost immediatly but it had a HOT signal flash on the dashboard & the radiator fan went on.(there is no bypass on the unit)
The second i disconnect the it from my car the engine went off.
I thougth that maybe because the battery is finished it go crazy so today i purchased a new battery & the second i attached it to the + & - the radiator fan went on. (no key in the ignition yet!)
When i complete to conect the battery i switched it on & the HOT signal flashed again on the board. I tuurned the key to start it - The starter turned real good but it didn't start the engine while the HOT signal still flashes...
Any ideas what seems to be problem? what should i check first?
TNX in advance!

Clutch problems outlaw 525
I recently worked on my outlaws clut h and did not have a torque wrench ro tighten clutch springs. I think i may have overtightned them and now when the quad is in gear and moving when i pull in the clutch it keeps moving like it is engaged all the time.any thoughts?
2015 Polaris ETX 325 EFI problems
A couple hours ago (after we went mudding) my ETXs belt began to slip. I followed what the book said to dry it, which was to rev it up a bit with the plug out. I did it. When i turn it on, it makes a buzzing noise but only lasts about 3 seconds and its done that since i got it, but now after i start it the same noise goes continuously. It isnt rattling, its a electric buzzing noise. At first i thought it was a warning, so i checked the oil, battery, and tried emptying the belt again but didnt help at all. It dims when i turn my lights on. Any thoughts before i load it on the trailer and take the 2 hour drive to surdyke?

04 Outlander Max rack and bumper options?
Looking at an 04 Outlander Max 400, but wondering about steel racks and bumpers. Can I use the steel racks and bumpers/brush guards from an 06 outlander?
There doesn't seem to be much difference between the 04 and 06 body style wise.
Thanks in advance for the help!

Bike wont start – Need Help – At my whits end
This is my first post on this forum and I'll take all the help I can get.
I recently purchased a used 2006 Polaris Outlaw 500. I purchased it knowing it did not run, however that did that deter me.
To the best of my knowledge the bike has the KTM 500 in it. Correct me if I'm wrong.
The bike turns over fine on its own, and will occasionally fire. Here is a list of everything I have tried/tested:
Compression reads at 110PSI
Has a strong spark
Valve lash is within tolerance on all four valves
Checked the timing
Redid the timing to ensure I didn't read it wrong.
Pulled the magneto to check if it had spun the key, looked good
Checked the pulsar coil with a multimeter and the voltage was correct (Can't remember the numbers off the top of my head)
Checked the CDI with multimeter and it read corrected.
Also checked both sides of the coil (from CDI and to spark plug) and it was correct.
Looked all around for any broken or loose wires to no avail.
When using starter fluid through the carb the bike pops a single time like it wants to start, and occasionally puffs a fireball back into the air box. Hoping its just residual starter fluid burning off.
Give it your best shot, at this point no idea is a bad idea.
I've read through every thread I can find relating to this engine. Feels like I've tried everything.
Thanks ahead of time,
Andrew

Hi All!
Just bought an 06 Outlander 400XTMax.
Not new to the atv scene, owned 2 Polaris Scramblers, 2 Trail Boss's, and still have a Honda ATC 200S
Other hobbies include Harley's, Guns, and I love to wrench on just about any and everything.
I also like long walks on a moonlit beach, cuddling by the fireplace, and candlelit dinners. :wink :devil

Installed new blue tai lights
I finally found sometime to clean my Outlander Max and install some new toys on it. I installed an Opt 7 lightbar, TricLed blue halo rings, blue taillights lens, blue led lights to replace reflectors, RJWC full exhaust and a Dynojet Power Commander 5. Now I just need to make sometime to ride it.
